Impact Dahl elected free agency earlier this month after the Phillies removed him from their 40-man roster, but he's returned to the organization on a new deal. The 30-year-old outfielder will report this week to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, where he's posted a 1.076 OPS this season.

Impact Dahl has been on the injured list for just over a month due to a right quadriceps strain, but he's been cleared to return to game action at the minor-league level. Given the length of his absence, it wouldn't be surprising to see Dahl appear in multiple games with the Triple-A club before rejoining the Padres.
