Lands minor-league deal Jimenez signed a minor-league contract with the Athletics on Thursday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Impact Jimenez was selected by Oakland in the Rule 5 draft last year, but he was returned to the Blue Jays in mid-March. However, he'll rejoin the Athletics after he posted a 2.22 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 44.2 innings across 39 appearances (one start) at Triple-A Buffalo in 2021.

Sent back to Toronto Jimenez was returned to the Blue Jays by the Athletics on Monday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Impact Jimenez was selected by Oakland in the Rule 5 draft, but he evidently wasn't going to secure a roster spot. He'll join Toronto's camp as a non-roster invitee and could push for a promotion at some point this season, but he's unlikely to crack the Opening Day roster.

Returned to Blue Jays Jimenez cleared waivers and was returned to the Blue Jays on Sunday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Impact Jimenez was designated for assignment after making two appearances out of the Giants' bullpen to begin the season. He'll head back to the Blue Jays' organization, where he played prior to being selected in the Rule 5 draft during the offseason. The right-hander won't be added to the Toronto's 60-man roster for now, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
