Impact Just a few days after being released by the Yankees, Hicks has latched on with another American League East outfit. He has batted only .188/.263/.261 this season, but on a prorated veteran minimum contract it's a no-risk move for Baltimore. Hicks could play a lot in center field while Cedric Mullins (groin) is sidelined.

Cedric Mullins - Lands on IL with strained groin Mullins was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Orioles on Tuesday with a right groin strain.
Impact Mullins suffered the injury during Monday's loss to the Guardians while running out a grounder. The severity of the strain hasn't been revealed, so it's difficult to know what kind of timetable we're dealing with at this point, but it's a big blow to the Orioles and to Mullins' fantasy managers. Aaron Hicks has been signed as a replacement and could see regular starts in center field while Mullins is out.
