Sal Stewart - Swats fourth homer Thursday Stewart went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 8-1 loss to the Marlins.
Impact Stewart's fourth home run of the season came in the fifth inning off Max Meyer and was the only offense for Cincinnati on Thursday. Stewart continues to be one of the hottest hitters in baseball with a .364/.473/.727 slash line, including the four homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored, three stolen bases and a 10:8 BB:K across 55 plate appearances.

Rhett Lowder - Yields five runs in loss Thursday Lowder (1-1) took the loss Thursday against the Marlins, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts across 5.1 innings.
Impact Lowder hasn't been able to miss many bats in the early going this season, and he generated just seven whiffs on 95 pitches against Miami. Lowder served up four extra-base hits, including a pair of doubles to Owen Caissie. An RBI single by Javier Sanoja was the knockout blow in the sixth inning, as Lowder left trailing 5-1. Lowder has a 3.31 ERA and 11:6 K:BB across 16.1 innings. He's slated to face the Giants at home Wednesday.

Impact With Jakob Marsee getting the start at designated hitter, Sanoja was in center field Thursday and hit eighth against right-hander starter Rhett Lowder. Sanoja singled in each of his first three at-bats and drove home runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Sanoja is now slashing .406/.424/.500 with three doubles, seven RBI, one run scored, one stolen base and a 1:4 BB:K across 33 trips to the plate this season.
