Reiver Sanmartin - Awarded second start Sanmartin is scheduled to start Sunday in the Reds' season finale against the Pirates in Pittsburgh, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Impact Cincinnati will reward Sanmartin with a second turn through the rotation after he shined Monday in his MLB debut, which also came against the Pirates. The 25-year-old lefty covered 5.2 innings in the outing, giving up a run on five hits and a walk while striking out five en route to capturing the win. The Reds freed up a spot in the rotation for Sanmartin by moving Vladimir Gutierrez to the bullpen.
