ImpactThe four strikeouts were the lone bright spot for Wesneski, as the young righty was hit hard, including allowing two home runs. He now has a 5.33 ERA this season and has allowed 13 long balls across 50.2 innings. With Justin Steele (forearm) likely to return June 17, Wesneski is probably done in the rotation for now. He could shift to a long-relief role or possibly return to Triple-A.

Ross Stripling - Set to face hitters TuesdayStripling (back) threw 30-35 pitches during a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled to face live hitters Tuesday, Evan Webeck of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
ImpactStripling has been on the injured list since mid-May due to a low-back strain, and he received a cortisone shot for his SI joint in early June. However, he's been trending in the right direction recently and will take another significant step by facing live hitters early this week. A clear timetable for his return to game action hasn't yet been revealed, but his recent progress has been encouraging.
