Frank Schwindel - Provides only offense Sunday Schwindel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 13-1 loss to the White Sox.

Impact It was an ugly day for the Cubs, with Schwindel's sixth home run of the season the only real bright spot. The 29-year-old has been a pleasant surprise for Chicago this year, as he's delivered a .922 OPS and 20 RBI across 34 games. He should continue to start most days at first base, though he served as the DH on Sunday with the Cubs playing in an American League park.

Kyle Hendricks - Allows eight runs in loss Hendricks (14-6) was tagged for eight runs across 4.2 innings and took the loss Sunday against the White Sox. He allowed seven hits and two walks while striking out four.

Impact For the second time this month, Hendricks allowed at least eight runs in a start. Home runs did in the righty Sunday, as he allowed three long balls, which accounted for six of the eight runs charged to Hendricks. The 31-year-old came into Sunday tied for the MLB lead with 14 wins, but he hasn't been as sharp this season as in years past. His 4.43 ERA is more than a run higher than his career mark of 3.29. Hendricks will look to get back on track in his next scheduled outing, which is currently lined up for Sept. 5 against the Pirates.

Sergio Alcántara - X-rays return negative Alcantara had X-rays on his right ankle come back negative after leaving Sunday's loss to the White Sox, Tim Stebbins of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Impact Alcantara was removed during the fifth inning of Sunday's contest, but he appears he's only dealing with a bruised ankle. The 25-year-old will have Monday's scheduled off day to aid in his recovery before potentially missing more time.
