Solano tests positive, Posey out of Giants' lineup again

San Francisco Giants second baseman Donovan Solano has tested positive for the coronavirus and will be sidelined for at least 10 days

Promoted Thursday Tromp was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Impact Tromp will join the big-league roster Thursday to provide catching depth while Buster Posey (knee) is banged up. It's not believed to be a serious issue for Posey, so it may be a brief stay in the majors for Tromp.

Impact Tromp appeared in three games with the major-league club in early June, and he went 4-for-9 with a home run, two RBI and two strikeouts. He isn't starting Monday's game against the Cardinals, but he should be available as a depth option behind the dish after Buster Posey (thumb) exited Sunday's win over Arizona.
