Earns first save Estevez didn't allow a baserunner while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Thursday against the Padres.
Impact Daniel Bard pitched in three of Colorado's last four games entering Thursday, which allowed Estevez to earn his first save of the campaign. Estevez is not likely to see many additional save chances this season -- barring Bard being traded -- as he has a 4.45 ERA and 26:15 K:BB across 30.1 frames.

Hit hard, takes loss Estevez (1-1) allowed three earned runs on three hits and one strikeout to take the loss Friday against the Diamondbacks.
Impact Estevez entered the game in the eighth inning with the game tied at one, but he served up two home runs in the span of four batters to take the loss. He has held opponents scoreless in seven of 10 appearances this season to go along with two holds. Estevez does have a bloated ERA with a current mark of 5.87, though that is heavily influenced by his blowup Friday.

Earns one-out win Estevez (1-0) was credited with the win Saturday against the Dodgers after retiring the only batter he faced.
Impact Estevez entered the game in the eighth inning to replace Alex Colome and was credited with the win after retiring Max Muncy with a flyout to center.

Agrees to one-year deal Estevenz and the Rockies avoided arbitration Tuesday by agreeing to a one-year, $3.025 million deal, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.
Impact Estevez matched his career high with 11 saves last season while posting a 4.38 ERA, the second-best mark of his five-year career. He may not return to the closer role he held down the stretch, however, as the Rockies recently signed veteran righty Alex Colome, who's saved 155 games in his career.

Gives up walkoff homer Estevez (3-5) was tagged with the loss in relief Sunday against the Diamondbacks after giving up the decisive run while tossing two-thirds of an inning.
Impact Estevez quickly retired Ketel Marte and Josh Rojas through flyouts, but he gave up the game-sealing homer to Josh VanMeter, who went deep for the sixth time this year. It was an unfortunate end of the year for Estevez, who went 11-for-17 in save chances while posting a 4.28 ERA with a 1.49 WHIP through 61 innings (63 appearances) this season.

Secures save Friday Estevez earned the save against Arizona on Friday with a perfect inning during which he struck out two batters.
Impact After the Rockies rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth, they turned to Estevez to close out the high-scoring affair. He did so with ease, retiring all three batters he faced, including the final two via strikeout. The save was Estevez's 11th in 17 opportunities. Since getting blown up for four runs against San Francisco on Sept. 8, the right-hander has converted six of seven save chances while posting a 2.70 ERA across 10 appearances.

Grabs 10th save Estevez picked up a save after pitching a scoreless ninth inning in Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Nationals. He didn't allow any hits and walked one.
Impact The 28-year-old walked Yadiel Hernandez to open the inning but retired the next two batters including a game-ending double play by Luis Garcia to escape unscathed. He is now 10 of 16 in save opportunities this season. Estevez has been far from elite though, allowing at least one baserunner in 21 of his last 22 outings.

Locks down ninth save Estevez allowed two hits and struck out one in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Friday's 9-8 win over Washington.
Impact Estevez was able to make a one-run lead stand in the ninth inning despite putting runners on the corners with two outs. The right-hander is now 7-for-8 in save chances since he took over as Colorado's primary closer in late August, although he's yielded six runs on 14 hits and four walks in 10.2 innings since Aug. 27. For the year, he has nine saves, a 4.34 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 57:20 K:BB in 56 innings.
SEPTEMBER 18, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Picks up win Estevez (3-4) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one over an inning of work, picking up the win in Wednesday's 3-2 victory over Atlanta.
Impact Estevez got the first two outs of the ninth inning before Ozzie Albies and Jorge Soler both reached base. With the winning run in scoring position and Freddie Freeman at the dish, the right-hander got the Atlanta first baseman to fly out on one pitch. Though he has now allowed a hit in six straight appearances, Estevez has gotten a ton of high leverage work for the Rockies in September.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Secures save No. No 8 Estevez allowed a hit and a walk but also struck out a batter during a scoreless ninth as he got the save over Atlanta on Tuesday.
Impact Estevez worked around a walk and a hit to close out the game for his eighth save of the year. The 28-year-old has converted four of five save chances already in September and has pitched very well aside from his blowup against the Giants last week. Overall, Estevez has a 4.50 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 55:19 K:BB over 54 innings this year.
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Converts seventh save Estevez allowed a hit in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 win over Philadelphia.
Impact For the first time in four appearances, Estevez was able to keep runs off the board. He's still gone 3-for-4 in save chances in that span despite the somewhat unsteady performance. The right-hander owns a 4.58 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 54:18 K:BB across 53 innings this season while notching seven saves, five blown saves and 15 holds in 55 appearances.

Picks up save No. 6 Estevez allowed a run on two hits in the ninth inning of Thursday's game against the Phillies, but he escaped with the save. He struck out one batter.
Impact Estevez was close to giving the game back after the Rockies took the lead against Phillies closer Ian Kennedy the prior half inning. He ultimately pitched out of a second-and-third, one-out situation with the lead still intact. Estevez has now given up at least one run in each of his last three appearances, but with only one blown save in that span, he's been getting the job done more often than not since Daniel Bard was removed from the closer picture.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Melts down in ninth inning Estevez (2-4) took the loss Wednesday versus San Francisco after allowing four runs on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning.
Impact Estevez allowed five of the seven batters he faced to reach base, and San Francisco scored on a two-run single by LaMonte Wade and a two-run double by Evan Longoria. It's a rare misstep for Estevez, who had converted three saves in five outings since taking over as the full-time closer. He now has a 4.59 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 53:18 K:BB across 51 innings while adding five saves, five blown saves and 15 holds in 53 outings. Colorado's closer situation remains somewhat fluid, but one poor outing isn't likely to cost Estevez just yet.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Earns fifth save Estevez allowed one run on a hit and no walks while striking out one in one inning to earn the save in Saturday's win over Atlanta.
Impact Saturday's outing marked the first time Estevez gave up a run since July 28, but he still preserved the lead to pick up his third save in his last five outings. The right-hander has taken on ninth-inning duties recently since Daniel Bard was removed due to struggles, and he's performed well in high-leverage situations.
SEPTEMBER 5, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Secures save Friday Estevez earned the save against Atlanta with a perfect ninth inning Friday.
Impact Estevez made very quick work of the three batters he faced, needing only four pitches to retire the side in order. He hasn't allowed an earned run in 14 straight outings dating back to July 31, registering six holds and two saves over that span. Given Daniel Bard's recent struggles, Estevez could be given all or most of the team's save opportunities for the remainder of the campaign.
SEPTEMBER 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Closing opportunity emerges Estevez appears to have taken over as Colorado's closer after Daniel Bard was removed from the role, Danielle Allentuck of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Estevez picked up his third save of the season Friday while Bard pitched the eighth inning, and manager Bud Black confirmed after the contest that Bard was no longer the closer. Estevez wasn't officially named the replacement, but he's the logical candidate given he secured the save Friday and hasn't allowed a run in his past 11 appearances. He has a 4.08 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB over 46.1 innings for the season but has pitched better since the All-Star break.
AUGUST 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Notches third save Estevez earned the save against the Dodgers on Friday, pitching a scoreless ninth inning during which he gave up one hit and struck out three batters.
Impact The right-hander entered the contest with two saves on the campaign, but his last save conversion had come way back on May 24 against the Mets. Estevez allowed a leadoff single to Mookie Betts on Friday but proceeded to strike out the next three batters to slam the door on Los Angeles. Daniel Bard, who has been the Rockies' closer for most of the campaign but has struggled of late, pitched the eighth inning, suggesting that he may have lost hold of the team's ninth-inning role. If that is the case, Estevez figures to be first in line for save chances as he now has three of Colorado's non-Bard saves this season.
