Blows save but earns win Estevez (2-0) allowed an unearned run and walked two in one inning, but he earned the win Wednesday versus San Diego.

Impact The 28-year-old yielded the game-tying run on a Trent Grisham sacrifice fly after Wil Myers reached on an error in the ninth inning. While the right-hander took the blown save, Charlie Blackmon's walkoff single in the bottom of the ninth gave Estevez the win. Estevez had a streak of 11.1 innings without walking a batter, but he's now yielded four free passes in his last three innings. He has a 3.86 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 19:8 K:BB, two saves and three holds across 18.2 innings.

Earns win in relief Estevez (1-0) earned the win in relief Tuesday against the Padres after tossing a scoreless inning, walking one and fanning one.

Impact Estevez pitched the seventh inning and while his command wasn't entirely sharp -- eight strikes out of 15 pitches -- he still got the job done and posted a scoreless outing. He's accomplished that feat in just three of his last six appearances, though, so the right-hander has been far from a reliable presence off the bullpen for the Rockies.

Impact Activated from the injured list Saturday after missing nearly a month of action due to a finger strain, Estevez picked up a hold in his first outing back before finishing up Monday's win. The right-hander hasn't given up an earned run in seven straight appearances dating back to April 15, but his save opportunity came with Daniel Bard having worked each of the prior two days. For now, Estevez will likely remain in a high-leverage set-up role.

Impact The Rockies hope the right-hander will be able to play catch soon, as he's apparently been shut down from throwing since landing on the injured list with a finger strain at the start of May.
