Optioned to Nashville Milwaukee optioned Turang to Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.

Impact Willy Adames has been activated from the concussion IL and Turang will head back to Nashville for a bit more minor-league seasoning. He made the Brewers' roster out of camp this spring and had a productive night Tuesday, but the 23-year-old carries a weak .205/.254/.307 overall batting line through his first 177 major-league plate appearances.

Steals bag in win Turang went 2-for-4 with a triple, a walk, a stolen base and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Orioles.

Impact Turang laced a triple to right in the fourth but was left stranded and later provided a clutch RBI single in the eighth to tie the game up at three. Tuesday's effort was Turang's first time with a hit since May 27, which also was coincidentally the last time he's tallied an extra-base knock as well. The growing pains have been very apparent for the 23-year-old rookie, as he had tallied just one hit over his last 41 at-bats before his triple. Turang now sits at a slash line of .205/.254/.307 with three homers, 14 RBI, 16 runs, nine steals and an 11:48 BB:K over 177 plate appearances.

Impact The lefty-hitting Turang will hit the bench against Reds southpaw Andrew Abbott, but the young infielder previously sat out the series opener Friday, when the Brewers opposed a right-hander (Graham Ashcraft). Turang still appears to have a tentative hold on a regular role in the middle infielder when the Brewers oppose righties, but with Luis Urias (hamstring) returning from the injured list Monday and Willy Adames (concussion) likely on track to be activated Thursday, Turang and Andruw Monasterio will both soon see their playing time second base and shortstop take a major hit.

Goes yard Sunday Turang went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 9-6 win over the Royals.

Impact Turang took Jose Cuas deep to center in the third to cap off a seven-run inning by the Brewers. The long ball was his third of the year and just his first since April 17. Turang has picked it up some at the plate after he was slumping for a good majority of April. Over 11 games in May, he's slashing .313/.371/.438 with three RBI, five runs and a 3:10 BB:K. The 23-year-old has seen the majority of his starts come against right-handers while Owen Miller has stepped in to fill in against lefties.
