Triston Casas - Stretchered off field
Casas (leg) was removed in the second inning of Friday's game against the Twins, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Impact
Casas stepped awkwardly on top of first base while trying to beat out a throw and fell hard to the ground. He was down for several minutes before being stretchered off the field, and an update from the Red Sox should be made once he undergoes further testing. Romy Gonzalez pinch ran for Casas and is in the game at first base for the top of the third inning.

Hunter Dobbins - Recalled ahead of start
The Red Sox recalled Dobbins from Triple-A Worcester on Friday.
Impact
As expected, Dobbins will join the major-league roster ahead of Saturday's start against the Twins after Walker Buehler (shoulder) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Dobbins earned the win in both of his starts with Boston this season, posting a 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB across 11 innings.

Walker Buehler - Placed on IL due to shoulder injury
The Red Sox placed Buehler on the 15-day injured list Friday due to right shoulder inflammation, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Impact
Buehler was working through a shoulder issue following his start against the Guardians this past Saturday, and the injury appears severe enough for him to warrant a move to the injured list. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said that he expects Buehler's stint on the IL to be minimal, which would have the 30-year-old right-hander slated to make his return as soon as May 17 during a weekend series against Atlanta. Brayan Bello will take the mound for Boston on Friday and Hunter Dobbins is in line to be called up from Triple-Worcester ahead of his start Saturday.

Kristian Campbell - Held out again Friday
Campbell (ribs) remains out of the lineup for Friday's contest versus the Twins.
Impact
Campbell was scratched from Thursday's lineup with sore ribs and will miss a second straight start. It's not clear whether he will be available off the bench. David Hamilton will play second base in his stead.

Blake Sabol - Sent back to Triple-A
The Red Sox optioned Sabol to Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Impact
With Connor Wong (finger) back from the IL, Sabol will head back to the minors as organizational depth. Sabol slashed .125/.167/.188 with one double, one RBI and a pair of runs scored across 18 plate appearances with the big club.

Connor Wong - Activated from 10-day IL
The Red Sox activated Wong (finger) from the 10-day injured list Friday, Mac Cerullo of the Boston Herald reports.
Impact
In a corresponding move, Boston optioned Blake Sabol to Triple-A Worcester. Wong suffered a broken finger back on April 7 but is ready to return ahead of Friday night's game against the Twins. Wong was hitting .087/.192/.087 with zero extra-base hits and zero RBI across 26 plate appearances prior to his injury.

Hunter Dobbins - Getting start Saturday
Dobbins will start for the Red Sox on Saturday against the Twins, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Impact
Brayan Bello is moving up a day to start Friday in place of Walker Buehler (shoulder), so the Red Sox needed someone to slide into Bello's old spot. Dobbins has pitched well in both of his starts for the Red Sox this season, yielding four runs (three earned) with an 11:2 K:BB over 11 innings. He could earn additional starts if Buehler winds up requiring a stint on the injured list.

David Hamilton - Starts at second base
Hamilton started at second base and went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Blue Jays.
Impact
Hamilton filled in for Kristian Campbell, who was scratched from the lineup after feeling rib soreness while stretching prior to the game. Hamilton's potential value has been limited due to lack of playing time behind Campbell. Thursday's steal was just his third in 14 games, and the activity was his first appearance in a week. He'll be the primary fill-in at the keystone while Campbell is unavailable.

Connor Wong - Returns to Worcester's lineup
Wong (finger) started at catcher and went 1-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and an additional run scored for Triple-A Worcester on Thursday.
Impact
Wong was held out of Wednesday's game due to soreness in his finger but was back behind the plate Thursday for a full game. He's caught all three games while on rehab with the WooSox and could be activated at some point during Boston's weekend series against Minnesota. Wong has not yet caught on back-to-back days, which could be a requirement before the Red Sox activate him off the 10-day injured list.
