Impact Walker entered the game as a pinch hitter for Jace Peterson in the sixth inning, and he went yard in the ninth in his second at-bat after staying in at first base. Given he was able to play three innings in the field, it's unlikely Walker's elbow contusion will keep him out of the starting lineup much longer, especially since X-rays came back negative Saturday night. The first baseman's blast was his 30th of the season and his second in three September games. He's added a .271/.348/.529 slash line with 90 RBI, 71 runs scored and eight stolen bases through 133 games.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. - Goes yard in loss Gurriel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 8-5 loss to the Orioles.

Impact Gurriel has homered twice over the first three games of September, and all three of his hits this month have gone for extra bases. The veteran outfielder hit a strong .286 in August and is continuing that trend into the final month of the campaign. For the season, he's at a .254/.304/.468 slash line with 22 homers, 71 RBI, 56 runs scored and four stolen bases through 122 contests.

Impact Gallen had given up four runs through two innings before settling down, only to stumble again in the sixth. While he's faced tough opponents in consecutive starts (Baltimore and Los Angeles), Gallen has not risen to the occasion while surrendering 11 runs over his last 10.2 innings. He's now at a 3.48 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 186:38 K:BB through 178.2 innings across 29 starts this season. The right-hander is projected for a road start versus the Cubs in his next outing.

Anthony Santander - Steals base in win Santander went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

Impact Santander ultimately didn't miss any time after he was hit on the hand by a pitch in Saturday's game. That's good news for the Orioles, as he's now gone 16-for-45 (.356) over 11 games since he returned from a back issue. The 28-year-old is slashing .258/.329/.489 with 26 home runs, 79 RBI, 70 runs scored and four steals over 128 contests this year.

Danny Coulombe - Grabs another win Coulombe (5-1) struck out one over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the win Sunday over the Diamondbacks.

Impact Jack Flaherty started to fade in the fifth inning, but Coulombe was able to step in and steady things for the Orioles. They rallied ahead in the sixth, allowing Coulombe to pick up his second win in as many outings. The southpaw has an 8.1-inning scoreless streak going, during which he's posted an 11:2 K:BB with a save and four holds. He's at a 2.51 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 52:10 K:BB over 43 innings this season, though his usage Sunday suggests he's not strictly confined to late-inning work.

It's another disappointing outing for Flaherty, who has allowed three or more runs in four of his five starts for the Orioles, pitching to a 6.66 ERA over 24.1 innings. He's at a 4.84 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 135:64 K:BB through 134 innings overall when accounting for his time with the Cardinals. Flaherty is projected for a road start in Boston his next time out.
