Ryan Helsley - Secures sixth save Helsley walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his sixth save of the season in a 6-4 win over the Guardians.
Impact The right-hander continues to get the job done as the Orioles' closer, and Helsley has converted all six of his save chances to begin the season. Last year's homer issues also have yet to resurface -- after he served up nine long balls over 56 innings in 2025 between the Cardinals and Mets, leading to a 4.50 ERA, Helsley has yet to be taken deep over 8.1 innings in 2026 while producing a 2.16 ERA.

Jeremiah Jackson - Slugs homer No. 5 Jackson went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Friday's 6-4 win over the Guardians.
Impact The Orioles were down 4-0 heading into the eighth inning -- a deficit created in part by Jackson's first error of the season -- but the 26-year-old utility player redeemed himself when he capped a six-run eruption by launching a Connor Brogdon fastball into the left-field seats. Jackson has five homers on the campaign and all of them have come in the last seven games, a stretch in which he's batting .429 (12-for-28) with two doubles, five runs and 13 RBI.

Chris Bassitt - Blanks Guardians in no-decision Bassitt didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 6-4 win over Cleveland, allowing four hist and four walks over five scoreless innings. He struck out two.
Impact The veteran right-hander was neither efficient nor dominant, managing only six swinging strikes and 56 total strikes among his 100 pitches, but Bassitt kept Guardians hitters off-balance and didn't allow much hard contact -- all four hits off him were singles. After a bumpy beginning to his Baltimore tenure, Bassitt has given up just one earned run over his last two outings, but he still carries a 6.19 ERA, 2.13 WHIP and 7:11 K:BB through 16 innings on the season. He'll look to keep chipping away at those ratios in his next trip to the mound, which lines up to come on the road next week in Kansas City.

Impact Kittredge's assignment was paused Tuesday when he went on paternity leave, but he's now back with the Tides, continuing to work his way back from the right shoulder inflammation that sent him to the injured list at the beginning of the year. The 36-year-old has already made three appearances at Triple-A, allowing one earned run on three hits and a walk while striking out five batters through 2.2 innings.

Impact Rutschman added that he's feeling a lot better after landing on the 10-day injured list with left ankle inflammation last weekend. The catcher is eligible to be reinstated from the injured list Tuesday in Kansas City, but it's unclear if he'll be ready. Samuel Basallo continues to handle catching duties for the Orioles.

Impact Wells missed the majority of 2024 and almost the entirety of the 2025 season due to an elbow injury, only starting the final four games in September of last year. Given the 31-year-old excelled in those four starts to the tune of a 2.91 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 18:2 K:BB across 21.2 innings, the expectation was that Wells would be a part of the team's rotation to kick off 2026. So far, the right-hander has exclusively been used as a middle-relief option having pitched in 11 innings thus far through nine games with middling success (4.91 ERA).
