Impact Slater was called upon to pinch hit for LaMonte Wade in the sixth inning and lined a Tim Hill offering over the left-field fence to give the Giants a 5-4 lead. It was the 11th long ball of the year for Slater, who is slashing just .232/.314/.408 with 15 stolen bases (17 attempts) in 299 plate appearances.
