Zach Reks - Used before Miller Reks went 1-for-2 as a pinch hitter then left fielder during Sunday's 7-3 win over Atlanta.

Impact With a left-hander hurling for Atlanta, lefty hitters Reks and Brad Miller took a seat, while Nick Solak started in left. After Solak and Eli White were removed for pinch hitters midgame, Reks took over in left field. That was interesting in that Miller, who started the season as the primary left fielder, remained on the bench while the recently called up Reks entered the contest.

Nick Solak - Gets start against lefty Solak started in left field and went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and run scored in Sunday's 7-3 win over Atlanta.

Impact Solak got the start in left field, per usual when the Rangers face left-handed starters. He was pulled later in the game for a pinch hitter against a righty reliever. Solak is the primary starter in left field against lefties, while Brad Miller and, more recently, Zak Reks occupy left field against righties.

Impact Garcia broke open the game, clearing the loaded bases with a triple in Texas' four-run third inning. The outfielder hasn't entirely scrapped the patient approach he showed early in the season, but he has been more aggressive, which works for Garcia. He's tallied five extra-base hits with 11 RBI over the past seven games.

Taylor Hearn - Grabs first win Hearn (1-2) earned his first victory of the season Sunday, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out six over five innings in a 7-3 win over Atlanta.

Impact Hearn navigated around seven baserunners, giving up the two runs in a lengthy third inning, while the offense picked him up. Texas hitters plated runs in each of the first three innings, including a four-run third that put the Rangers up, 7-2. All that was left for Hearn was to keep the ball in play and get through five innings for the win. The left-hander is off to a bumpy start with a 6.53 ERA over five starts in which he's averaged a little more than four innings. Hearn lines up to start the second game of series against the Yankees this coming Saturday in New York.

William Woods - Optioned to Triple-A Woods was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

Impact Woods spent just under a week with the major-league club, and he tossed two scoreless innings over two relief appearances. However, he'll be sent to the minors since Atlanta needs to trim its active roster to 26 players by Monday.

Kyle Muller - Sent down following start Muller was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.

Impact Muller was called up prior to Sunday's start against the Rangers, and he allowed seven runs on four hits and six walks while striking out three in 2.2 innings to take the loss. The southpaw will head back to the minors following his rough start as part of a move to trim Atlanta's active roster to 26 players. Bryce Elder was also optioned to Gwinnett on Sunday, so it's not yet clear who will serve as the team's fifth starter next week.
