Michael Massey - Hitting well in spring Massey has gone 5-for-18 with two home runs, four RBI and four runs scored through six Cactus League games.

Impact Massey hit just .243 with a .683 OPS, four home runs, 17 RBI and three stolen bases in 52 contests as a rookie last season. His solid spring, both in making contact and showing some power, gives him an edge to start at second base over Nicky Lopez, who is hitless through six at-bats in the spring. Massey totaled 20 homers and 16 steals over three levels of baseball last year, so he could have some all-around appeal in fantasy if he can hit well.

Drey Jameson - Cuffed around by Royals Jameson allowed three runs on four hits and one walk while striking out five over 2.2 innings in Monday's spring start against the Royals.

Impact Jameson gave up a first-inning home run then allowed several base runners in the second before being pulled. He came back out for the third inning to face one more batter in what was his first clunker in three Cactus League starts. Of the group battling for the final rotation spot, Jameson has been the best among Tommy Henry and Ryne Nelson.

Mark Melancon - Struggles again Melancon allowed two runs on three hits while striking out one over one inning in Monday's spring game against Kansas City.

Impact That makes two disappointing -- maybe alarming -- Cactus League outings by Melancon, who's given up five runs on nine hits over two innings this spring. While he was not named the sole closer, Melancon is expected to be part of the crew that closes out games, but not if results like this are the norm. Those speculating on Arizona saves may want to keep the names Andrew Chafin, Kevin Ginkel and Joe Mantiply handy. Of the group, Mantiply has the most success so far this spring.

Nick Pratto - Finding groove Pratto has gone 5-for-12 across five Cactus League games.

Impact Pratto started off a little slowly, but he posted four hits over the last two games, including his second double of the spring in Sunday's contest against the Giants. Pratto needs a strong spring to begin the year in the majors -- he was surpassed by Vinnie Pasquantino on the depth chart at first base a year ago, and it's expected catchers MJ Melendez and Salvador Perez will share the bulk of the time at designated hitter when they're not behind the dish. Pratto slashed just .184/.271/.386 with seven home runs, nine doubles and 20 RBI across 182 plate appearances as a rookie last season.
