Lands on COVID-19 IL
Misiewicz was placed on the injured list Friday due to a potential positive COVID-19 test to a member of the Mariners' pitching staff.
Impact
Robert Dugger, Drew Steckenrider and Will Vest were all placed on the injured list in the same flurry of moves, as it sounds like one of those players tested positive and the others are being held out due to contact tracing. Keynan Middleton (biceps) was activated from the IL in a corresponding move.

Up to eight holds
Misiewicz recorded his eighth hold in a win over Cleveland on Sunday, allowing two hits and a walk over one inning.
Impact
Misiewicz continues to try to rediscover the stride he'd hit in April, when he wasn't scored upon across 9.1 innings over 11 appearances and recorded two wins and four holds. May hasn't anywhere near as kind -- he's taken two losses, blown two save chances and given up seven earned runs across three of his appearances -- but the southpaw has at least doubled up his holds tally and has now produced scoreless efforts in two of his last three trips to the mound.

Rough start to May
Misiewicz (2-1) took the loss as Seattle fell 5-3 to Baltimore on Monday, facing four batters and allowing a walk, home run and double before inducing a flyout and being removed.
Impact
This was Misiewicz's first poor outing of the season, as he had yet to allow a run in 9.1 innings prior to the blowup. His ERA jumped all the way to 2.70 but he should remain one of Seattle's more trusted relievers.

Still sporting unblemished ERA
Misiewicz, who allowed a hit and no walks over a scoreless eighth inning in a loss to the Astros on Tuesday, has yet to give up a run across the 7.1 innings covering his first nine...
Impact
The southpaw has also recorded a pair of wins and holds apiece, making him a surprising fantasy asset in formats that factor in the latter category. Misiewicz is also displaying career-best control, as evidenced by his 1.2 BB/9.

Earns first hold
Misiewicz was credited with his first hold in a win over the Astros on Sunday, hitting a batter and recording a strikeout to close out the seventh inning.
Impact
Two days after grabbing his second win of the season, Misiewicz worked around a plunking of Jason Castro by striking out Kyle Tucker to close out the frame. Misiewicz is still sporting an unblemished ERA through six appearances (five innings) while generating a 5:0 K:BB.

Notches second win in return
Misiewicz (2-0) earned the win in Friday's 6-5 victory over the Astros, firing a perfect ninth inning while striking out two.
Impact
Misiewicz was busy in his return from the COVID-19 injured list as he was tasked with protecting a 5-5 tie in the ninth inning and proceeded to dispatch the side with ease, throwing 13 pitches (nine strikes) in the process. It wouldn't take long for the Mariners to score in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving Misiewicz his second win of the season. The 26-year-old has yet to surrender a run or walk a batter this season across five outings.

Back from COVID IL
Misiewicz was activated from the COVID-19 injured list Friday.
Impact
The 26-year-old landed on the COVID IL at the start of the week but clear the league's protocols within a few days since he apparently never tested positive for the virus. Misiewicz has yet to give up a run through 3.2 innings for the Mariners this season.

Placed on COVID-19 IL
Misiewicz was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Monday, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports.
Impact
The Mariners didn't initially provide a reason for Misiewicz's placement on the injured list, but the team has now specified that his absence is COVID-related. The designation doesn't necessarily mean that the southpaw has tested positive for the virus himself. Misiewicz will be able to return before the minimum 10 days as long as he isn't dealing with a positive test result of his own. Erik Swanson was recalled from Seattle's taxi squad to fill in as a reliever in Misiewicz's absence.

Lands on IL
The Mariners placed Misiewicz on the 10-day injured list Monday due to an unspecified issue.
Impact
Seattle hasn't revealed whether Misiewicz's placement on the IL was the result of an injury or a COVID-19-related concern. If it's the latter, Misiewicz could be able to return before the minimum 10 days, provided he hasn't actually tested positive for the virus himself. Seattle recalled Erik Swanson from its taxi squad to provide some extra depth in the bullpen while Misiewicz is on the shelf.
