Dealt to Diamondbacks
The Diamondbacks acquired Misiewicz from the Cardinals for cash considerations Friday.
Impact
Misiewicz had been designated for assignment for the second time since early February and is on the move again. The left-hander holds a 4.43 ERA and 105:31 K:BB over 130.2 relief innings at the major league level. He'll head to Triple-A Reno for now.

Designated for assignment
Misiewicz was designated for assignment by the Cardinals on Wednesday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Impact
The Cards need to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for the addition of phenom Jordan Walker. Misiewicz was acquired from the Royals back in February after being removed from their 40-man roster and will go through the waiver process again.

Optioned to Memphis
Misiewicz was optioned to Triple-A Memphis by the Cardinals on Thursday.
Impact
Misiewicz was acquired from the Royals in early February in exchange for cash considerations and will function as left-handed relief depth in the minors to begin the 2023 campaign. He holds a career 4.43 ERA and 105:31 K:BB in 103.2 total innings at the MLB level.

Mixed results in spring
Misiewicz has allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings across six Grapefruit League games.
Impact
That's pretty much in line with Misiewicz's experience at the major-league level over the last three years. He had a 4.34 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB over 29 innings between the Mariners and the Royals last season. If he can make the Cardinals' Opening Day roster, he'd likely work as a middle reliever with little chance of competing for high-leverage assignments.

Dealt to Cardinals
The Cardinals acquired Misiewicz from the Royals on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations.
Impact
In 32 appearances last season between Seattle and Kansas City, Misiewicz pitched to a 4.34 ERA and 27:10 K:BB over 29 innings. The lefty is expected to compete for a middle-relief role in St. Louis' bullpen during spring training.

Designated for assignment
Misiewicz was designated for assignment by the Royals on Friday.
Impact
The club needed to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for the re-signing of Zack Greinke. Misiewicz pitched pretty well for Kansas City down the stretch last season after being acquired via trade from the Mariners, posting a 4.11 ERA and 19:4 K:BB over 15.1 innings. It's the second time since July that the left-hander has been designated for assignment.

Dealt loss Tuesday
Misiewicz (1-2) allowed an unearned run on a hit and two walks while striking out one in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Tigers.
Impact
Misiewicz loaded the bases in the 10th inning with a pair of walks, then allowed a walkoff single to Harold Castro. Through 12.1 innings with the Royals, Misiewicz has struggled, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on 13 hits and four walks, though he's added 17 strikeouts. He's also picked up a win and two holds, but he's still little more than a low-leverage reliever.

Handed win Wednesday
Misiewicz (1-1) picked up the win Wednesday over the Twins. He struck out three and allowed a hit in 1.1 scoreless innings.
Impact
Starter Daniel Lynch lasted four innings, and Collin Snider worked the fifth, but it was Misiewicz who was awarded the win in a game the Royals led from the first inning on. Since his recall from Triple-A Omaha on Aug. 24, he's posted a 5.79 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB across 9.1 innings. Misiewicz has been slightly better overall this year with a 5.09 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 23:8 K:BB through 23 innings between the Royals and the Mariners, but those ratios are unlikely to earn him anything more than low-leverage assignments.

Finds home in Kansas City
The Royals acquired Misiewicz from the Mariners on Monday in exchange for cash considerations. He was optioned to Triple-A Omaha.
Impact
Though he won't be joining the big club as he changes organization, Misiewicz will recapture a 40-man roster spot after Seattle designated him for assignment over the weekend. The 27-year-old southpaw owns a 4.48 ERA and 1.38 WHIP across 88.1 innings over parts of three seasons in the majors.

Dropped from 40-man roster
The Mariners designated Misiewicz for assignment Sunday, Corey Brock of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Misiewicz has resided at Triple-A Tacoma since being optioned June 10, but he'll now lose his spot on the 40-man roster after the Mariners needed to clear a spot for outfielder Jack Larsen, who was called up from Double-A Arkansas to enter the starting lineup for Sunday's game in Houston. Since moving down to Tacoma, Misiewicz turned in a 3.65 ERA while striking out 13 over 12.1 innings, so the Mariners could have a tough time passing him through waivers.

Takes first loss Tuesday
Misiewicz (0-1) was charged with the loss in a defeat at the hands of the Athletics on Tuesday, allowing two earned runs on two hits and two walks over one inning.
Impact
Misiewicz got out of a two-on, two-out jam upon entering in the sixth inning by getting Jed Lowrie on a fielder's choice to end the frame, and he also induced a flyout and popup from Chad Pinder and Seth Brown, respectively, to open the seventh. However, the left-hander ultimately gave up run-scoring hits to Elvis Andrus and Luis Barrera that snapped a 5-5 tie. After generating three holds, a 1.86 ERA and 1.03 WHIP across his first 12 appearances of the season, Misiewicz has now surrendered five earned runs across his most recent three trips to the mound.

Rare stumble Thursday
Misiewicz allowed two earned runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning in a loss to the Red Sox on Thursday. He struck out one.
Impact
The left-hander had allowed just a single earned run over his previous 10 appearances before Thursday's stumble, so there's certainly a likelihood the rocky appearance will prove to be an outlier. Misiewicz still carries a solid 3.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP, and he's contributed three holds among his 13 trips to the mound.
