Sent back to minors The White Sox optioned Haseley to Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday.

Impact Even with Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) recently landing on the 10-day injured list with a long-term injury and with Luis Robert (groin) considered day-to-day, Haseley still likely found himself behind AJ Pollock, Andrew Vaughn, Adam Engel, Gavin Sheets and Leury Garcia for work in the outfield. Haseley didn't help his case for sticking around in Chicago by going 2-for-10 at the dish following his promotion from Triple-A on April 19. The White Sox reinstated reliever Matt Foster (personal) from the family medical leave list in a corresponding move.

Impact Haseley was called up from Triple-A Charlotte to serve as the 29th man for the doubleheader and made his season debut when he replaced Adam Engel in right field during the bottom of the sixth inning. The 26-year-old lefty outfielder only drew one plate appearance during the blowout, but he showed off solid discipline and earned a walk.

Traded to White Sox Haseley was traded from the Phillies to the White Sox on Tuesday in exchange for McKinley Moore, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.

Impact The Phillies have a big hole in center field, with the inexperienced Matt Vierling and the mediocre Odubel Herrera (oblique) set to split time this season. The White Sox, on the other hand, have Luis Robert locked into the position, with Adam Engel and Leury Garcia both around as solid backup outfielders. The move therefore seems bad for Haseley's fantasy value on the surface, but it's possible he needs a change of scenery. He was the eighth-overall pick in 2017 and sped through the minors in two seasons but has yet to take the next step in the majors. He took a leave of absence for personal reasons in April of last year and remained stuck in Triple-A once he returned, struggling to a .224/.282/.295 slash line.

Impact After the Phillies optioned Haseley to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on June 12, Haseley played regularly for about a week before suffering a right groin strain. Just over a month later, he was placed on Lehigh Valley's COVID-19-related IL, but he's since cleared all health and safety protocols. At this stage, Haseley is likely just attempting to move past the groin issue, but it's unclear when he might rejoin the Triple-A lineup. The Phillies may want to see Haseley finds some success with Jersey Shore before giving him a tougher assignment.
