Commanders vs. Chiefs MNF Highlights: Patrick Mahomes, K.C. Roll Past Washington

NFL Week 8 concluded with a defensive battle that turned into a rout, as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) took down Marcus Mariota and the Washington Commanders (3-5) on Monday Night Football.

A 7-7 halftime tie ballooned into a Kansas City blowout for the club's third-straight win. Mahomes more resembled his MVP-caliber play in the second half in a contest that saw him miss out on the chance to battle Jayden Daniels (hamstring) for the first time, but exact a measure of revenge against Mariota for K.C.'s 2017 AFC Wild Card loss to his Titans.

The victory also coincided with another landmark moment in the career of Travis Kelce, who tied Priest Holmes for the franchise touchdown record and became the fourth tight end in NFL history with 100 touchdown receptions (including playoffs).
