Impact Gooch carded identical five-under 67 rounds in each of the first three days of the tournament and was part of the feature group with Peter Uihlein and eventual winner Elvis Smylie. Gooch wasn't able to get it going in the final round, going even through 17 holes before finishing things off with a birdie on the par-4 18th. The worst part is that Gooch lost out on OWGR points, as those who finish in the top-10 of a LIV Golf tournament accrue points toward the world rankings. Gooch -- who took over for Brooks Koepka as the captain of Smash GC after the latter left for the PGA Tour via the Returning Member program -- will be in the field for LIV Golf Adelaide next week, where he won in 2023 but finished T26 and T51 in 2024 and 2025, respectively.
