T6 in FIR at TPC Sawgrass Straka closed with a two-over 74 on Sunday at THE PLAYERS Championship to finish five-under and tied for 14th.

Impact Straka played holes 3-6 in a collective five-over-par during Sunday's final round, in which he ultimately ranked just 70th among the field in SG: Around-the-Green and T42 in GIR percentage. Nonetheless, he ended his week at TPC Sawgrass having gained 5.8 strokes ball striking while hitting 40 of 56 fairways in regulation. The No. 2 player in the FedExCup standings will be in attendance again this week for the Valspar Championship.

Recovers after poor opening round Straka surged into a share of fifth place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational following a three-under 69 in the final round.

Impact Straka got off to a poor start to the week with a five-over 77 in round one, but bounced right back with a six-under 66 on Friday to get right back into the mix. A pair of 69's on the weekend and Straka was able to collect his second-best finish of the season after his win in Palm Springs. Straka didn't have a great driving week, but he was 10th in SG: Approach, T6 in GIR's and third in SG: Putting. He's got the kind of game that should suit TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS Championship next week.

Posts four under-par rounds Straka carded a one-under 70 on Sunday at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches to finish 13-under and tied for 11th place.

Impact Straka posted three consecutive 67s at PGA National before having an inconsistent final round with six birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey to narrowly fall out of the top-10. He lost 2.4 strokes on the greens for the week but ranked third in SG: Tee-to-green. Straka moves up to second in the FedExCup as he's now posted five top-15s across seven starts this year.

Unable to hold 54-hole lead Straka fell into a tie for seventh place after shooting an even-par 72 in the final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Impact Straka took command of the tournament after back-to-back rounds of 65 to begin the week. He struggled in the middle of the round on Saturday, but caught fired making birdies on four of the final five holes to reclaim the lead heading into Sunday. Playing alongside major champions Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, Straka really didn't seem like he had his best stuff. The Austrian just did not hit the ball that well and had to scramble a lot more than he would have liked. While Straka was unable to go back-to-back after his win in Palm Springs, clearly he is playing extremely well and he knows he can compete with the best in an elite field. Straka will look to keep up the strong play at the WM Phoenix Open next week.
