Paces 3M Open in SG: OTT
Neergaard-Petersen fired a five-under 66 on Sunday at the 3M Open to finish 14-under and tied for 20th.
Impact
Neergaard-Petersen paced the entire field in SG: Off-the-Tee at TPC Twin Cities, where he also gained a season-high 3.13 strokes around the green. However, Neergaard-Petersen lost 2.16 strokes with the flat stick in Minnesota. Nevertheless, he's up to 90th in the FedExCup standings after a T9-T20 stretch at The Open Championship and the 3M Open, and he'll be in attendance again this week at Detroit Golf Club for his Rocket Classic debut.

Best major finish of career
Neergaard-Petersen posted a five-under cumulative score at The Open Championship to finish tied for ninth.
Impact
Neergaard-Petersen entered the week with just one top-10 in 14 tournaments, although that was back in April, when he was paired up with Jacob Skov Olesen at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Neergaard-Petersen opened things up with a two-over 72 but rebounded with a four-under 66 score Friday to make the cut, and he gained three strokes over the final 36 holes to capture his best career finish at a major. It was also his best PGA Tour performance since his solo second at the 2025 Puerto Rico Open. Neergaard-Petersen struggled with his putter (minus-1.12 strokes), but he ranked third in SG: Tee-to-Green, fourth in SG: Off-the-Tee and ninth in both GIR and driving accuracy. His performance at Royal Birkdale also moved him up 35 spots to 91st in the FedExCup Standings, putting him in a good spot to earn his way into the top-70 for a spot in the FedExCup playoffs. Neergaard-Petersen is in the field for next week's 3M Open for the first time in his career.

Drops to T36 at Scottish Open
Neergaard-Petersen carded a five-over 75 in the final round of the Genesis Scottish Open to finish in an eight-way tie for 36th.
Impact
Neergaard-Petersen was knocking on the door to the top-10 following a five-under 65 score Saturday, when he carded four birdies over his final seven holes. However, he couldn't carry that momentum into Sunday, carding six bogeys and just one birdie over the last 11 holes of the final round. Neergaard-Petersen was below average across most statistical categories in the final round, including 61st in SG: Putting and 69th in both SG: Around and GIR. It was a disappointing finish for the 27-year-old Dane, whose T19 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson being his lone top-20 finish across 14 tournaments this season. He'll make his fifth career major start next week at The Open Championship, which will be his first appearance at golf's oldest major.

First MC of 2026
Neergaard-Petersen posted a 69-70 score at the Texas Children's Houston Open and missed the cut by one stroke.
Impact
Neergaard-Peterson was unable to gain a stroke during the second round, which is all he would have needed to make the cut at Memorial Park. It was his first missed cut in six PGA Tour events this season, though he's failed to finish better than T40 in 2026. The next time we'll see Neergaard-Petersen is in two weeks at The Masters, which he qualified for as the winner of the Australian Open in December. It will be his first appearance at Augusta National.

T40 at Cognizant Classic
Neergaard-Petersen closed with an even-par 71 on Sunday at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches to finish four-under and tied for 40th place.
Impact
Neergaard-Petersen racked up 19 total birdies while ranking 31st among the field in SG: Approach throughout his week at PGA National, but he ultimately converted just 12 of 25 scrambling opportunities en route to 13 bogeys and a double across 72 holes. Nonetheless, he remains without a missed cut through his first five worldwide starts of the year, and Neergaard-Petersen will tee it up again this week at the Puerto Rico Open where he finished as the solo runner-up in his Grand Reserve debut here last year.

T49 at FIO
Neergaard-Petersen closed with a two-under 70 on Sunday at the Farmers Insurance Open to finish five-under and tied for 49th.
Impact
Neergaard-Petersen ranked 16th among the field in SG: Ballstriking en route to 20 total birdies throughout his 2026 PGA Tour debut at Torrey Pines. However, he lost a collective 5.4 strokes on and around the greens over three rounds on the South Course, so there are some short-game concerns ahead of his first career trip to TPC Scottsdale.

Earns PGA Tour card with big finish
Neergaard-Petersen shot a four-under 68 in the final round of the DP World Tour Championship to finish in a tie for third place.
Impact
With the pressure of not only winning the DP World Tour Championship, but also potentially notching a PGA Tour card on the line, Neergaard-Petersen was reeling on the back-nine. He put his head down and had an unbelievable finish going five-under the last five holes to lock up his PGA Tour card for next season by one shot with this T3 finish. The 26-year-old Dane is a big-hitter that showed a lot of potential throughout 2025. Keep an eye out for Neergaard-Petersen as he makes more regular starts on the PGA Tour in 2026.
