Just misses out on Truist Hojgaard fell out of the Aon Swing 5 and will not tee it up at the Truist Championship next week, PGA Tour Communications reports.

Impact Hojgaard was just beat out by his brother Rasmus Hojgaard in the final spot of the Aon Swing 5 after the duo scored a solo second at the Zurich Classic. The difference was Nicolai finishing T56 at the Byron Nelson and Rasmus' 48th place finish. Nicolai will take next week off and not play at Myrtle Beach either as he gets ready for the PGA Championship.

Runner-up with Rasmus in NOLA Hojgaard and Rasmus Hojgaard finished solo second at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans following a four-under 68 in the final round.

Impact The Danish twins missed the cut together in this event last year, but they were determined to not have the same result again this time around. After a 13-under 59 in the opening round of best ball, the Hojgaard's stayed in contention the rest of the week, but ultimately would fall just one shot shy of earning their first PGA Tour victories. There was a bit of luck involved on a drop on the 72nd hole, but it worked out to where they were able to make birdie and secure the solo second. It's been a slow start for both players, but this big haul of points will move Nicolai into 75th in the FedExCup standings. He will look to carry that momentum into the next individual event next week at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

First PGA Tour top-10 in over a year Hojgaard finished in solo eighth place at the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld following a four-under 67 in the final round.

Impact Hojgaard maybe could have been in the mix for the win had he finished better than 55th in SG: Putting. That said, he had a great ball-striking performance at 10th in SG: Approach and second in GIR percentage. Hojgaard put up some good finishes on the DP World Tour in the fall, but this is his first top-10 on the PGA Tour since the Farmers Insurance Open in early 2024. The Dane is a very talented player and he will look to find more results like this going forward. Hojgaard is listed in the field for next week's Cognizant Classic.

Out of Farmers Insurance Open Hojgaard has withdrawn his name from the field at the Farmers Insurance Open, PGA Tour Communications reports.

Impact Hojgaard is coming off a tough T65 finish at the Dubai Desert Classic. With the event at Torrey Pines starting on a Wednesday, that would have been a pretty quick turnaround. Hojgaard will likely return to action on the PGA Tour in the next couple weeks.

Receives special invite to Masters Hojgaard accepted a special invitation to compete in the 2025 Masters Tournament, Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Fred Ridley announced Wednesday.

Impact The Masters has a long history rewarding international players who otherwise would not get into the field with an invitation if deemed deserving. LIV Star Joaquin Niemann was also given a special invitation on Wednesday. Hojgaard made waves at the Masters last year when he was in contention all week, and even led the tournament in round three, before eventually fading to T16. Hojgaard was ranked outside the top 50 in the OWGR at the end of 2024, and would have had to either win a PGA Tour event before the Masters in April, or make his way back inside the top 50 the week before tournament week. The Dane will no longer have to worry about that and he will get to compete alongside his brother Rasmus Hojgaard, who is ranked inside the top 50.

Finishes 66th in Detroit Hojgaard shot a four-under 75 to finish in the 66th spot in the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Impact Hojgaard registered 14 birdies in the competition which was tied at 60th. He finished with six bogeys which was tied at 18th. It was the third time this season where Hojgaard finished outside the top-60 players in a competition. He will not feature in the upcoming John Deere Classic.

Impact Hojgaard ended up losing 11 spots in the final round. The 23-year-old registered three birdies in the fourth round. He also gained 1.01 strokes off-the-tee as well. Despite a disappointing outing in the Valero Texas Open, Hojgaard managed to keep his 56th spot in the FedEx Cup rankings.
