Falls short at THE PLAYERS Fitzpatrick carded a four-under 68 in the final round of THE PLAYERS Championship to finish second with a 12-under cumulative score, one stroke back of winner Cameron Young.

Impact Fitzpatrick and Young were the penultimate playing group of the final round, with the duo looking to catch up to overnight leader Ludvig Aberg. Aberg's three-shot lead evaporated quickly after a bogey and double bogey on holes 11 and 12, respectively, which opened the door for Fitzpatrick and the rest of the field. It looked like Fitzpatrick would be the first Englishman to win THE PLAYERS after going five-under through the first 13 holes, and he rebounded from his bogey at the 14th with another birdie on the 15th. He was tied with Young heading into the 72nd hole, but Fitzpatrick found himself in trouble after his tee shot missed well right of the fairway. Fitzpatrick did well to make it to the green and had a chance to force a playoff, but he ended up bogeying the 18th after his par putt missed to the right, which was enough for Young to come away with the one-stroke victory. It was a disappointing way to finish what was otherwise a strong showing from Fitzpatrick; he led the field in both bogeys and scrambling, ranked third in SG: Approach, seventh in SG: Putting, eight in GIR and 13th in SG: Off-the-Tee. He's currently listed in the field for the Valspar Championship next week.

Tied for 41st at API Fitzpatrick posted a final round three-over par 75 on Sunday to finish one-over par for the week and tied for 41st.

Impact Going into the final round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Fitzpatrick found himself inside the top-30 after posting a two-under par 70 in the third round. However, Fitzpatrick was not able to string two good rounds together as he struggled to break par on Sunday. His poor performance on Sunday was particularly due to his inability to make putts. On Sunday, Fitzpatrick lost 3.16 strokes to the field in SG: Putting, ranking last among all players who made the cut. He also didn't do himself any favor as he lost almost one full stroke to the field in SG: Approach. Fitzpatrick will look to forget this poor outing as his mind focuses on tackling another difficult test next at TPC Sawgrass.

Struggles on Riviera's poa greens Fitzpatrick carded a one-under 70 on Sunday at The Genesis Invitational to finish seven-under and tied for 24th.

Impact Fitzpatrick's putter failed him throughout Rounds 3 and 4 at Riviera Country Club, ultimately losing a collective 5.8 strokes on the greens across his final 36 holes. However, the Englishman ranked fifth among the Signature Event field in SG: Tee-to-Green and third in overall proximity for the tournament. Fitzpatrick has now finished top-25 in three consecutive starts dating back to a ninth-place effort at the WM Phoenix Open, and he currently resides 30th in the early FedExCup standings.

Another solid showing Fitzpatrick posted a five-under 67 on Sunday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish tied for 14th place.

Impact Fitzpatrick had a steady week with four rounds of 70 or better but wasn't able to go low enough to contend. His ball striking was in excellent form as he ranked T6 in driving accuracy, third in SG: Approach and first in GIR, but he uncharacteristically ranked 73rd in SG: Around-the-green. Fitzpatrick has now posted back-to-back top-15 finishes.

Top-10 result in Scottsdale Fitzpatrick shot a two-under 69 in the final round of the WM Phoenix Open to finish in ninth place.

Impact Fitzpatrick got off to a hot start on Thursday with a six-under 65, but struggled to find the same groove the final three days. Most of that had to due with the putter as he ranked 55th for the tournament in SG: Putting. The good news was Fitzpatrick checked in top-12 for the week in SG: Off-the-Tee, SG: Approach and SG: Around-the-Green. He'll face a completely different putting surfaces next week at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Fitzpatrick has just one top-40 finish in six career starts in the event.

He finished the tournament T13 in the field in GIR and T24 in driving accuracy, but he ranked near the bottom of the field in SG: Off the Tee and birdies made. It was Fitzpatrick's first PGA Tour event of the 2026 season, and his performance at La Quinta dropped him one spot to 23rd in the OWGR.

Wins third DP World Tour Championship Fitzpatrick defeated Rory McIlroy in a playoff to win the DP World Tour Championship following a six-under 66 in the final round.

Impact Fitzpatrick put together a very impressive bogey-free final round to take the lead in the clubhouse. Some late heroics by McIlroy in the form of an eagle on the 72nd hole would be enough to force a playoff, however. It would be McIlroy who blinked first in extra holes and carded a bogey, while par from Fitzpatrick was good enough to give him his third DP World Tour Championship title (2016, 2020). The Englishman would close the season third in the Race to Dubai standings. Fitzpatrick's 2025 season would be one of great perseverance. He did not finish top-10 in any event until a T8 at the PGA Championship in mid-May, but his second half of the year was extremely impressive. Fitzpatrick would collect top-10 finishes in eight of his final 12 starts. He's got all kinds of momentum going into 2026.
