Tied for third at 3M Open Matsuyama posted a seven-under 64 in the final round of the 3M Open to finish tied with Brian Harman, Chandler Phillips and Denny McCarthy for third.

Impact Matsuyama got off to a slow start with a one-under 70 opening round, but he proceeded to go six-under or better in each of the next three rounds, with Sunday's score being his best of the tournament. It was only his second top-5 finish of the season and best result since his playoff loss to Chris Gotterup at the WM Phoenix Open in February. Matsuyama led the field at TPC Twin Cities in SG: Around, gaining 8.17 strokes in that category. Impact Matsuyama shot back-to-back, three-under 67 rounds Friday and Saturday, and he started the final round nicely with two birdies over the first three holes, only to lose those two strokes back to finish the day with an even-par 70 score. He finished the tournament 12th in driving accuracy and in the top-25 in SG: Around and SG: Tee-to-Green, though he also ranked 61st in GIR out of 78 players who made the cut. Matsuyama has made the cut in all 17 tournament outings this season but has just two top-10s to his name, the last taking place in mid-February at Pebble Beach. He's in the field for next week's 3M Open, where he finished T7 in 2019 and T30 in his last outing in 2023.

Solid finish at the Travelers Matsuyama posted a four-under 66 in the final round of the Travelers Championship to finish in an eight-way share of 14th.

Impact Matsuyama's final round wasn't exactly smooth sailing, but he cracked the leaderboard's top-15 after posting four birdies over his final six holes. He was one of the shorter drivers in the field, ranking 61st out of 72 players in that category, though he also finished ninth in SG: Off-the-tee, T13 in driving accuracy, 14th in SG: Around and T25 in birdies made. It was a solid performance from Matsuyama, especially after his T65 at the U.S. Open last week. He's not listed in the field for next week's John Deere Classic.

Impact Matsuyama was one of the frontrunners at Colonial Country Club after posting rounds of 66-65 over the first two days of the tournament. Despite an even-par 70 score Saturday, he was in the top-5 of the leaderboard heading into Sunday and in good position for his first win of the 2026 PGA Tour season. Those hopes were snuffed out after back-to-back bogeys on holes three and four, and he gained just one shot over the last 14 holes. Matsuyama ranked T4 in bogeys, sixth in both scrambling and SG: Approach and in the top-35 in GIR, birdies, SG: Off-the-Tee, Around-the-Green and Putting. He has seven top-25 finishes in 13 tournaments this season, though Matsuyama hasn't cracked the top-10 since his T8 at Pebble Beach. He'll tee off at the Memorial Tournament next week, which he won in his debut at the event in 2014 in a playoff over Kevin Na. Matsuyama has finished T16-T8-38 in his last three outings at the Signature Event since 2023.
