Ties for 19th in Greensboro
Matsuyama closed with a three-under 67 on Sunday at the Wyndham Championship to finish 10-under and tied for 19th.
Impact
Matsuyama ranked fifth among the Wyndham Championship field in both SG: Approach and driving accuracy, but he converted just nine of 16 scrambling opportunities while falling to 64th in total feet of putts made. Nonetheless, he racked up 21 total birdies across 72 holes in Greensboro, ascending to 21st in the FedExCup standings ahead of the FedEx St. Jude Championship where he won last year.

T16 finish at Royal Portrush
Matsuyama carded a five-under 66 in the final round of The Open Championship to finish tied for 16th place.
Impact
Matsuyama started the week with a tough three-over 74, which saw him rank outside the top-100 in SG: Approach and SG: Off the tee in the first round. But that didn't stop him from making quite the comeback. Matsuyama followed his poor first round with three straight sub-70 rounds of 69-68-66. Each day his SG: Approach and SG: Off the tee numbers continued to improve and so did his score. Following his final round Matsuyama rebounded ranking 36th in SG: Approach, and 35th in SG: Off the tee. While is ball striking wasn't what he needed this week, his putting sure was. He ranked 11th in SG: Putting for the week. For Matsuyama that is two straight top-20 finishes. He will need to continue this string of top-20 finishes if he wishes to clinch a spot in the top-30 of the FedEx Cup standings.

T30 at Travelers Championship
Matsuyama fired a five-under 65 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship to finish four-under and tied for 30th.
Impact
Matsuyama's impressive final round at TPC River Highlands was highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 second hole, holing out from 80 yards for the deuce. However, he ultimately ranked just 54th among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee for the tournament. He remains 22nd in the FedExCup standings ahead of the upcoming Rocket Classic.

Seventh in SG: APP at Oakmont
Matsuyama fired a two-under 68 on Sunday at the U.S. Open to finish 12-over and tied for 42nd.
Impact
Matsuyama managed to card just one total bogey throughout his entire final round at Oakmont Country Club, where he ultimately finished seventh among the field in SG: Approach, 13th in scrambling and 14th in GIR. However, the T42 result drops him from 19th to No. 22 in the FedExCup standings ahead of the Travelers Championship.

T36 at Colonial C.C.
Matsuyama closed with a three-over 73 on Sunday at the Charles Schwab Challenge to finish two-under and tied for 36th.
Impact
Matsuyama bounced back from a missed cut at the PGA Championship by gaining 3.6 strokes ball striking throughout his week at Colonial Country Club, though he remains without a single top-10 result since his victory at The Sentry in early January. He'll tee it up again this week at Muirfield Village for the Memorial Tournament where he won back in 2014.

Misses cut at Quail Hollow
Matsuyama recorded a 36-hole score of three-over-par to miss the cut at the PGA Championship by two shots.
Impact
Matsuyama hit only 15 of 36 greens in regulation throughout his two rounds at Quail Hollow, ultimately losing strokes both off the tee and with his irons in the same event for the first time since mid-February's Genesis Invitational where he leaned on his short game en route to a top-15 result. He's now missed the cut in three of five starts dating to THE PLAYERS Championship, but he'll peg it again this week at the Charles Schwab Challenge where he finished 10th in his lone Colonial Country Club appearance back in 2014.
