Bogey-free final round at TCHO McCarthy posted a bogey-free, four-under 66 during the final round of the Texas Children's Houston Open to finish tied with Adrien Dumont de Chassart for 12th.

Impact McCarthy scored two-under or better in each round at the TCHO, with Sunday being his best of the tournament. He carded only five bogeys at the event, which was tied for fifth best in the field. McCarthy also ranked second in scrambling, fifth in feet of putts made and in the top-25 in SG: Putting, Approach and Around-the-Green. He's made the cut in seven of nine PGA Tour outings this season, but his T12 at Memorial Park was his best finish of 2026. McCarthy will tee off at the Valero Texas Open next week, where he lost in a playoff to Akshay Bhatia in 2024 after the former went eight-under on the back nine of the final round. McCarthy's playoff loss was sandwiched by T18 finishes in 2023 and 2025.

Impact McCarthy failed to score under 70 across all four rounds. He finished in the top-25 in SG: Around-the-Green, SG: Putting and GIR. However, he lost 3.3 strokes off the tee and 3.5 strokes with his irons, ranking 49th and 44th in SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Approach-to-Green, respectively. McCarthy has made the cut in all five of his PGA Tour appearances in 2026, though he's finished T40 or worse in each of those events. He won't participate in next week's Cognizant Classic as he gears up for the Arnold Palmer Invitational that tees off March 5. McCarthy has made the cut in four of five outings at the API, with his solo 18th in 2025 being his best performance.

Slow start to 2026 McCarthy posted a seven-under cumulative score at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to finish tied with Cameron Young and Sam Stevens for 55th.

Impact McCarthy opened the tournament on a positive note with a bogey-free, four-under 68, when his two birdies and eagle all came in the front nine. He was unable to gain ground over the next three days and ended up ranking near the bottom of the field in birdies made, SG: Off-the-Tee and SG: Approach-to-Green. McCarthy has finished T40 or worse in each of his first four outings of the 2026 Tour season, but he'll look to turn things around next week at The Genesis Invitational. He finished T5 in 2025 when the signature event was held at Torrey Pines and T14-T39 in 2023 and 2024, respectively, when the tournament took place at Riviera Golf Club.

Ties for 56th at The AmEx McCarthy closed with a three-under 69 on Sunday at The American Express to finish 14-under and tied for 56th.

Impact McCarthy's final round in La Quinta was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 16th hole, where he stuck his 283-yard approach shot to just 18 inches from the cup. That long-distance dart helped him rank sixth among the field in SG: Approach across two measured rounds at the Pete Dye Stadium Course. After a pair of made cuts to begin his 2026 campaign, McCarthy plans to tee it up again this week at the Farmers Insurance Open.

T40 finish at Waialae McCarthy finished in a share of 40th place at the Sony Open in Hawaii following his three-under 67 in the final round.

Impact It certainly wasn't anything to write home about for McCarthy, but he did pick up some good momentum going forward following his birdie-birdie-birdie close to the tournament. McCarthy was 16th in SG: Off-the-Tee and 26th in SG: Putting, but 56th in SG: Approach and 61st in SG: Around-the-Green at Waialae. He continues to be very reliable as he has not missed a cut in the U.S. since the 2024 PGA Championship. McCarthy will look to keep the streak alive at The American Express next week.
