Opts out of FedEx St. Jude Championship
Berger (undisclosed) will not be in the field for this week's FedEx St. Jude Championship despite qualifying at 60th in the FedExCup standings.
Impact
Berger won't be able to advance to the BMW Championship as a result of his early WD from the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and he remains without a tournament appearance since his back-to-back missed cuts at the John Deere Classic and The Open Championship.

Out of Wyndham Championship
Berger has withdrawn his name from the field for this week's Wyndham Championship due to an undisclosed reason.
Impact
Berger hasn't teed it up since back-to-back missed cuts at the John Deere Classic and The Open Championship, so his status should continue to be monitored ahead of next week's FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind where he won consecutive FedEx St. Jude Classics back in 2016 and 2017.

MC at Royal Birkdale
Berger missed the cut by five strokes at The Open Championship following an even-par 70 second round.
Impact
Berger was unable to overcome his six-over 76 opening round, when he went five-over on the back nine. He couldn't get anything going Thursday and ranked outside the top-120 in SG: Approach, Putting and Around-the-Green for the opening round. Berger has missed the cut in four of his last five tournaments and in three of four majors this season, with his T35 at the PGA Championship being the exception. He will not tee off at the 3M Open next week.

Misses cut after Friday 72
Berger missed the cut by one stroke at the John Deere Classic after posting a one-over 72 in the second round.
Impact
Berger was three-under through 27 holes and well on track to qualify for the weekend, but he could not overcome his two bogeys on the back nine of the second round to make the three-under cut line. It's the third missed cut in four tournaments for Berger, who connected on just seven of 14 fairways Friday while losing 1.88 strokes in his approach play. He'll take a week off before teeing off at The Open at Royal Birkdale, which he earned a spot in after his playoff loss to Akshay Bhatia at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. Berger finished T27 when The Open was last hosted by Royal Birkdale in 2017.

Career-best SG: ARG in Connecticut
Berger closed with a four-under 66 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship to finish 12-under and tied for 25th.
Impact
Berger gained a career-high 5.07 strokes around the green throughout his week at TPC River Highlands, but he lost 3.46 strokes with the flat stick en route to five total bogeys and a double across 72 holes. He's now lost more than 2.5 strokes putting in three consecutive outings, though his T25 result in Connecticut was a solid rebound from back-to-back missed cuts at the Memorial Tournament and the U.S. Open. Expect to see Berger again this week at the John Deere Classic where he's made the cut in three of four previous appearances, most notably tying for fifth at TPC Deere Run back in 2017.

Collapses in second round to miss cut
Berger posted a nine-over 81 in the second round of the Memorial Tournament to miss the cut by four strokes.
Impact
Muirfield proved to be a tough course for the field over the first two days of the tournament, but Berger got off to a nice start with an even-par 72 in the first round. He had plenty of wiggle room to work with after the cut line was set at five-over, and he was one-under through the first five holes of the second round. However, he proceeded to go five-over from holes six to nine before losing another five strokes on the back nine, which included a triple bogey on the par-4 14th. Berger struggled in his short game Friday and lost 4.36 strokes around the green, which was the worst out of the 72-man field. It's the third time this season that he has missed the cut, with the last taking place at The Masters in April. Berger is not listed in the field for the RBC Canadian Open, so his next appearance will be in two weeks at the U.S. Open Championship. He finished T46 last year, but his best outing at the major was a T6 in 2018, which was the last time that the U.S. Open was hosted at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.

Ties for 23rd in Miami
Berger closed with a two-under 70 on Sunday at the Cadillac Championship to finish six-under and tied for 23rd.
Impact
Berger rebounded from an opening four-over 76 in Round 1 by playing his final 54 holes at Doral in a collective 10-under-par, ultimately ranking top-20 among the Signature Event's field in both SG: Approach and SG: Putting en route to 17 total birdies. However, Berger has now lost strokes from tee to green in three of four starts dating back to a T66 at THE PLAYERS Championship. Nonetheless, he'll be in attendance again this week for the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow where he tied for 33rd at the 2025 PGA Championship.

T4 in GIR at RBC Heritage
Berger closed with a one-under 70 on Sunday at the RBC Heritage to finish six-under and tied for 42nd.
Impact
Berger rebounded from a missed cut at the Masters with a five-under 66 on Thursday at Harbour Town, but he ultimately finished the Signature Event ranked just 61st among the field in SG: Off-the-Tee, 64th in scrambling and 74th in total feet of putts made. However, he hit the fourth-most greens in regulation while gaining 2.32 strokes on approach in the process. Despite a T66-MC-T42 stretch since his runner-up effort at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Berger remains top-30 in the FedExCup standings.

MC by four strokes at The Masters
Berger posted a 76-76 scorecard at The Masters to miss the cut by four strokes.
Impact
Berger failed to get anything going in his seventh appearance at Augusta National, ending the tournament with one double bogey, eight bogeys and two birdies. It's been an inconsistent season for Berger, who has finished outside the top-30 in six of nine tournaments this year (including two missed cuts), but he also finished T6 at the Sony Open in January and lost to Akshay Bhatia on the first playoff hole of the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Next week's RBC Heritage is the perfect stage for a bounce-back performance from Berger; he has made the cut in each of his six prior outings at the Signature Event and finished T3 in both 2020 and 2025.

Berger is listed in the field for the Masters Tournament this week.
Impact
Berger withdrew prior to last week's Valero Texas Open after qualifying for the Masters via his top-50 standing in the OWGR, so his upcoming appearance at Augusta National will be his first start since a T66 at THE PLAYERS Championship where he gained 2.82 strokes on approach.

Wastes commanding lead at API
Berger finished second at the Arnold Palmer Invitational after losing to Akshay Bhatia on the first playoff hole.
Impact
Berger was the man to beat from the get-go after opening the tournament with a bogey-free, nine-under 63 score that included three consecutive birdies from holes 10 to 12. He grew his lead with a four-under 68 second round before stalling a bit Saturday with an even-par 72, but he looked to be in control with a five-stroke lead heading into the back nine of the final round. However, Berger was unable to gain any strokes on the back nine, and his bogey on the par-3 17th was enough for Bhatia to catch up to the former and force a playoff. Berger found the rough with his tee shot on the first playoff hole, and while he was able to muscle his second shot to the front of the green, he proceeded to three-putt bogey for the first time of the tournament, which was enough for Bhatia to capture the API with a par. It was an incredibly disappointing finish for Berger, who looked to be closing in on his first PGA Tour victory since the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2021 before losing his lead on the 71st hole at the API. He's in the field for THE PLAYERS Championship next week, where he's finished T20 or better in each of his last three outings and has made the cut in eight of nine appearances.
