T47 at Arnold Palmer Invitational
Kirk carded a one-over 73 on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational to finish five-over and tied for 47th.
Impact
Kirk ranked dead last among those who made the cut in both scrambling and bogey avoidance at Bay Hill, losing 5.4 strokes on approach in the process as well. However, he gained a season-high 2.4 strokes off the tee in Orlando while averaging 4.25 birdies per round. Kirk will be in the field again this week at THE PLAYERS Championship where he's made the cut in 10 of 14 prior appearances.

MC at PGA National
Kirk recorded a 36-hole score of two-over-par to miss the cut at last week's Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches by two shots.
Impact
Kirk has now gained strokes on approach in each of his first five starts to begin the 2026 season, but he lost 2.99 strokes putting across just two rounds at PGA National to ultimately fall shy of advancing to the weekend. Dealt a sponsor exemption for the upcoming Arnold Palmer Invitational, Kirk will be in the field again this week at Bay Hill where he owns a pair of top-10 results in 13 career appearances.

Slow 2026 start continues at Pebble
Kirk finished tied for 52nd at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am after posting an eight-under cumulative score.
Impact
Kirk opened the tournament with back-to-back three-under 69 scores but wasn't able to make up much ground over the weekend. He ranked 10th in SG: Approach-to-Green, T12 in GIR and T18 in driving accuracy but finished 70th or worse in SG: Around-the-Green and SG: Off-the-Tee. Kirk missed the cut in each of his three Tour outings prior to Pebble Beach, and things won't get easier next week at The Genesis Invitational, where he missed the cut in his last outing at Riviera Golf Club in 2024.

Earns playoff berth
Kirk closed with a two-under 68 to finish in a tie for fifth place at the Wyndham Championship.
Impact
Kirk needed a good showing in Greensboro coming into the week 73rd in the FedExCup standings. He got just that with this T5 effort and puts him 61st heading into the first leg of the playoffs in Memphis. Kirk didn't have his best putting week at the Wyndham Championship, but he was top-15 in SG: Off-the-Tee, SG: Approach and SG: Around-the-Green. Kirk has now finished top-15 in four of his last six starts. He's one to watch next week.

Falls in playoff in Detroit
Kirk was defeated by Aldrich Potgieter in a playoff at the Rocket Classic after shooting a five-under 67 in the final round.
Impact
Kirk came into the final round just two shots behind the 54-hole leader of Potgieter. He got off to a strong start with two birdies in the first three holes. He added birdies at 7, 9 and 10 to put some pressure on the final grouping of Potgieter and Max Greyserman, both gunning for their first victories. After a birdie on 17 for Kirk, he had a shot to potentially put it out of reach on 18. His putt would just slip by, but 22-under-par was enough to join a playoff with Potgieter and Greyserman. Kirk showed his experience on the first playoff hole hitting a great approach, while the other two players had long birdie looks. Unfortunately the putt for the win would slide by again. After a poor approach on the second playoff hole, Kirk ended up three-putting and was eliminated from the playoff. The 40-year-old has won six times on the PGA Tour, but No. 7 will have to wait. This was Kirk's first top-10 all season, so it's hard to be too upset with a T2. He will look to carry this play into the rest of the season, starting at the John Deere Classic next week.
