Impact Gotterup had a chance on Sunday to pick up his fourth win of the season and collect the FedExCup title. Unfortunately, things kind of unraveled with a double-bogey at the par-4 4th hole, while playing partner Scottie Scheffler poured in a birdie on the same hole to get to two-under for the round. Gotterup battled back with birdies at 6, 7 and 12, but bogeys on 15 and 16 would seal the deal on his chances. Seven top-10s and three wins is still a tremendous season at the end of the day. That should also be enough to lock up a captain's pick for the Presidents Cup next month. Gotterup is only 27 and should be in contention in a lot of big events for years to come given his game.

Top-5 finish in St. Louis Gotterup registered a one-under 69 in the final round of the BMW Championship to finish tied with Collin Morikawa and Gary Woodland for fourth.

Impact Gotterup opened the tournament with a bogey-free, six-under 64 first round that included three consecutive birdies from holes 13 to 15. He saw his score steadily decrease over the next three days, but he was within striking distance of the top of the leaderboard Sunday after Wyndham Clark's slow start. Unfortunately for Gotterup, he was unable to convert on many of his scoring opportunities in the final round, finishing with two birdies and one bogey. It was his fourth top-5 finish of the season, and he ended the tournament first in scrambling, fourth and fifth in SG: Around and Putting, respectively, and T10 in birdies. Up next is the TOUR Championship, where Gotterup finished T10 last year.

Impact Gotterup opened the tournament with a four-under 66 first round. However, he gained only one stroke over the next two days before dropping three shots in the final round, when he ranked outside the top-50 in both SG: Approach and Off-the-Tee. For the tournament, Gotterup ranked T4 in GIR, 18th in driving distance and in the top-30 in driving accuracy, SG: OTT and SG: Approach. Up next is the BMW Championship, where he finished T33 in his debut at the event last year.

Misses cut after Friday 73 Gotterup missed the cut by four strokes at the Rocket Classic following a three-over 73 second round.

Impact Gotterup opened the tournament with a two-under 68 and had some work to do with the cut line set at three-under. However, he was unable to get much going in the second round, ending his day with four bogeys, one birdie and 13 pars. Gotterup gained 2.50 strokes off the tee across his two rounds at Detroit Golf Club but lost strokes across all other categories, including 2.92 strokes on the green. It was just the second MC of the year for Gotterup, with his last taking place in February at The Genesis Invitational. He'll take a week off by not participating in the Wyndham Championship, so his next appearance will be Aug. 13 for the first round of the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Impact Gotterup's best round came Sunday with a three-under 67 that included six birdies and three bogeys, the last of which happened on the difficult par-4 18th. Despite connecting on just 46.4 percent of fairways, Gotterup still finished the tournament fifth in SG: Off-the-Tee, as well as sixth in SG: Tee-to-Green and 14th in SG: Approach, though he also ranked 62nd in SG: Putting out of the 78 players who made the cut at Royal Birkdale. He'll finish the major season with a T24 at The Masters, T10 at the PGA Championship and T30 at the Travelers Championship. Gotterup is fifth in the FedExCup Standings thanks to victories at the Sony Open, WM Phoenix Open and, most recently, the John Deere Classic. He will not tee off next week at the 3M Open.

Impact Gotterup had momentum on his side as the defending champion, having rallied last week to outlast Max Homa to win the John Deere Classic. Gotterup carried that strong play to The Renaissance Club, where he found himself in the top-5 heading into Sunday following rounds of 68-65-66. However, he was unable to maintain that strong play in the final round, shooting over-par to drop seven spots down the leaderboard to outside the top-10. Gotterup's performance on the tee box was as good as ever, as he ranked fifth in SG: Off-the-Tee and T7 in driving distance, as well as T11 in birdies, T13 in GIR and 23rd in SG: Approach, though he was middle-of-the-pack in strokes gained both around and on the green. Up next is The Open Championship, where Gotterup finished solo third last year at Royal Portrush in what was his first start at golf's oldest major. He'll look to wrap up the 2026 major season on a strong note after finishing T24 at The Masters, T10 at the PGA Championship and T43 at the U.S. Open.
