Impact Lucas Herbert followed up his strong play last week at The Open with a 30-under cumulative score at JCB Golf and Country Club. That left DeChambeau and Tyrrell Hatton to battle it out for second place Sunday, which ultimately went to the Englishman after Hatton shot a bogey-free, nine-under 63 in the final round, which was the second-best score of the day behind Herbert (10-under 62). DeChambeau's best round of the tournament ended up being the first (eight-under 64), and his play over the next three days were enough for him to secure his fourth third-place finish of the season. The Crushers GC captain also has victories in Singapore and South Africa, and with two tournaments left in the regular season, he still has a mathematical chance of catching Jon Rahm in the individual standings. DeChambeau and the breakaway tour will return to the United States for LIV Golf New York on Aug. 6.
