Branden Grace tests positive for COVID-19, WDs while T2 at Barracuda Branden Grace became the eighth PGA Tour player to test positive for COVID-19 and he withdrew from the Barracuda Championship on Saturday.

Tests positive for COVID-19 Grace withdrew from the Barracuda Championship prior to Saturday's third round after testing positive for COVID-19 and will need to self-isolate for 10 days.
Impact This is devastating news for Grace in multiple ways. Not only is he forced to withdraw from the Barracuda Championship after entering the weekend tied for second place, but the 10-day isolation will keep the South African out of next week's PGA Championship field at TPC Harding Park. Ideally, Grace will produce a negative test in the next couple weeks and look to get a few competitive rounds in prior to the United States Open which starts Sep. 17 at Winged Foot Golf Club.

Rejoins 3M Open field Lingmerth has rejoined the field for the upcoming 3M Open, Rob Bolton of PGATour.com reports.
Impact Lingmerth was originally bumped to the first alternate after Branden Grace joined the 3M Open field as a late entrant, but Lingmerth has now earned an entry of his own following the withdrawal of a handful of names. He posted back-to-back 82s in Rounds 1 and 2 at the Memorial Tournament to finish dead last and miss the cut by a mile this past week, so recent form is definitely a concern for the Swede.
