Massive outing in Oregon loss Howard was 28-for-35 passing for 326 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 32-31 defeat against Oregon. He also had nine rushes for 13 yards with one touchdown.

Impact Howard eclipsed 300 passing yards for the first time this season in this back-and-forth barn-burner. Both offenses lived up to the lofty expectations for this heavyweight matchup, and Howard did his part with a one-yard keeper on Ohio State's opening drive followed by touchdown passes to each of his top-two receivers in Emeka Egbuka and Jeremiah Smith. The Kansas State transfer couldn't get it done in the final seconds though, as he scrambled for a first down but slid too late as time ran out with the Buckeyes on the edge of field-goal range. Howard has now logged at least two passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown in each of the last four games. He'll look to keep it rolling with the Buckeyes' stacked group of offensive playmakers when they welcome Nebraska to Columbus this coming Saturday.

Impact Howard and the Buckeyes' high-powered offense woke up after a slow start versus the Hawkeyes' notorious defense. The Kansas State transfer exploded with, starting with a four-yard touchdown pass to freshman phenom Jeremiah, who made yet another jaw-dropping play with a one-handed catch in the end zone. Howard then took it himself with a four-yard touchdown run around the left end of the Iowa defense. He finished up with his second and third passing touchdowns of the game to senior wideout Emeka Egbuka. Howard totaled season-highs in completion percentage (84.0) and total touchdowns (five), and he's now tied for the second-most passing touchdowns in the Big Ten this season. He'll likely have to keep it up in order for the No. 2 Buckeyes to score a road win against No. 3 Oregon this coming Saturday.

The graduate senior transfer has had an easy go of things during the non-conference schedule, but he committed his first turnover of the year when he appeared to overthrow a deep pass to star receiver Jeremiah Smith, resulting in an interception down at the Marshall nine-yard line. Howard started the game completing his first 10 passes, and he logged a six-yard rushing touchdown before being relieved by backup quarterback Devin Brown in the third quarter. The Kansas State transfer also once again found wideout Jeremiah Smith with an easy completion over the middle before the star true freshman turned upfield for a 70-yard touchdown. Ohio State's awesome corps of offensive playmakers should continue to make things easy for Howard, though the impressive running back duo of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson could limit Howard's scoring production going forward.
