Scampers for long TD in semis win Henderson notched six carries for 42 yards and caught one of two targets for 75 yards and a touchdown during Friday's 28-14 win over Texas.

Impact Henderson was efficient with his touches on the ground overall, averaging seven yards per tote. Still, he did the most damage on his lone reception of the night, taking it 75 yards to the house with less than a minute remaining in the first half to put the Buckeyes up 14-7 heading into the locker room. Henderson's seven total touches were five fewer than Quinshon Judkins received, and Judkins also found the end zone twice. The duo should share backfield looks again in the College Football Playoff National Championship on Jan. 20 against Notre Dame before they likely look toward the NFL ranks.

Scores twice in win over Oregon Henderson had eight carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns and reeled in 3 of 6 targets for 20 yards during Wednesday's 41-21 victory versus Oregon.

Impact Although Henderson received less than half of Quinshon Judkins' carries, he had a much more productive day. He scored a 66-yard touchdown in the second quarter which took the 31-0 lead, then scored the game-clinching touchdown in the third quarter with an eight-yard rush. Henderson now has four touchdowns through two playoff games and will look to keep that trend going versus Texas in the Semifinals.

Impact Henderson never got a chance to establish himself on the ground as the Buckeyes' offensive line once again struggled to get enough push upfront. Fellow running back Quinshon Judkins didn't find great success either with just 12 carries for 46 yards. Henderson somewhat salvaged his final stat line with his two receptions, but it's still a clear disappointment given the Buckeyes' commitment to playing a more physical brand of offense this season. This loss also knocks Ohio State out of competing in the Big Ten Championship Game this coming Saturday, though the team will still likely land in the College Football Playoff as a five through 12 seed. Henderson finishes the 2024 regular season with 108 carries for 751 yards and six touchdowns - all of which are the lowest marks of his career aside from his injury-hampered 2022 campaign when he played just eight games.

The senior running back was also much more effective despite logging fewer carries than the team's leading rusher Quinshon Judkins, who tallied 14 rushes for 36 yards Saturday. Henderson also could've had another touchdown with just under two minutes remaining, but he slid short of the goal line for a 39-yard rush, which set up a one-yard score for quarterback Will Howard. Over the last four games, Henderson has averaged 70.3 rushing yards and 21.8 receiving yards despite serving as more of the 1B rusher for the Buckeyes. Impact Henderson tallied his usual share of carries while getting a couple looks in the passing game. However, the senior still seemed to play a slight secondary role behind 219-pound running back Quinshon Judkins, as the latter logged more carries (15) and got the ball on the goal line for two one-yard scores in the first half. Over seven Big Ten games, Henderson has now scored just one touchdown while averaging 65.0 rushing yards and 12.4 receiving yards per game. Henderson's lack of usage in the red zone significantly limits his ceiling, but he's still put up consistent stats for an RB2. He'll likely continue to play this role versus Indiana on Saturday.

Impact Henderson tore it up both on the ground and as a pass-catcher for the first time this season. The senior running back capitalized his performance with three carries for 51 yards, including a 19-yard touchdown, on a single drive in the third quarter. He still worked behind the team's 1A running back Quinshon Judkins, who logged 11 carries for 32 yards. Henderson likely would have gotten more carries if Ohio State wasn't essentially scoring at will, as he logged 11, 10, 10 and 10 carries in the previous three games. It's likely he won't need to do much during next week's road game at Northwestern either, but his explosiveness should give him a good chance to get back in the end zone either through the air or on the ground.

Henderson has now averaged 9.6 rushing attempts for 59.2 yards per game across five Big Ten contests this season. He'll hope to find the end zone this coming Saturday against Purdue.

However, the latter got the benefit of a nine-yard receiving touchdown late in the game. Meanwhile, Henderson has not logged a touchdown of any sort since Week 4 versus Marshall. Across four Big Ten games, the senior running back has averaged 9.5 carries for 60.5 yards to go along with 1.5 receptions per game. With such a small workload game-to-game, it's unlikely that Henderson will fare much better against yet another stout rushing defense during next week's road game at Penn State.

The senior has operated as the Buckeyes' secondary rusher behind junior and Ole Miss transfer Quinshon Judkins, who also notched a one-yard score after fumbling in the first quarter Saturday. Henderson has now averaged just 8.7 yards per carry per game, and, unlike in years past, he's been a total non-factor as a receiver out of the backfield. He'll hope to log just his fifth rushing touchdown of the season during this coming Saturday's contest versus Nebraska.

Impact The Buckeyes had a strong game on the ground with 203 team rushing yards. But, Henderson was finished with less than 80 rushing yards for the fifth time in five games this season. The senior has still accrued over 60 rushing yards in every game this season despite averaging just 8.4 carries per game. Ohio State finished off its five scoring drives with four passing touchdowns and one rushing touchdown by quarterback Will Howard. While this was a particularly productive game for Howard, it's still indicative of how many scoring threats that the team possesses other than Henderson -- unlike in years past. Fellow running back Quinshon Judkins also tallied 13 carries for 78 rushing yards. With so many talented skill players vying for attention, it'll be tough for Henderson to separate moving forward. The Buckeyes will likely neeed all of their offensive playmakers to perform well if they want to pull off a win on the road against No. 3 Oregon in Week 7.

Impact Henderson totaled between 65 to 76 rushing yards for the fourth game in a row to start the season. The senior running back has been relatively productive despite seeing fewer carries than Ole Miss transfer Quinshon Judkins so far this season. While the latter led the team with 11 carries against Michigan State, true freshman James Peoples also saw increased usage with 10 carries for 29 yards. There haven't been a ton of carries to go around for Ohio State so far this season, so Henderson will need to consistently find the end zone in order to be truly valuable in fantasy moving forward. He did so with four rushing touchdowns over the previous two contests, though the Buckeyes might face one of their toughest defensive opponents of the season during next week's home game against Iowa.

Two scores versus Thundering Herd Henderson notched six rushes for 76 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 49-14 victory over Marshall.

Impact Henderson saw a modest workload for the third straight game to start this season. The senior running back made due of these limited opportunities, as he scored a 14-yard touchdown in the second quarter before taking a pitch 40 yards for a touchdown to open the second half. Yet, he clearly was overshadowed by the Buckeyes' big splash addition from the transfer portal, Quinshon Judkins, who logged 14 carries for 173 yards and two scores to go along with two receptions. Henderson and Judkins are probably the best 1-2 punch in all of college football, but so far the team seems to favor the latter as its top option out of the backfield. It will be worth monitoring if that workload changes at all during conference play. Ohio State opens the Big Ten schedule this coming Saturday against Michigan State.
