Impact After failing to catch on at Ohio State, Pryor arrived in Cincinnati to back up Corey Kiner. Interestingly, Pryor actually made a bigger impact than Kiner in the decisive win, although it makes sense that Kiner would fade as the lead widened. Kiner is arguably the Bearcats' best offensive weapon, but Pryor's performance confirms that he will have ample support behind him.

Impact After beating Brady Lichtenberg for the top spot in camp, Sorsby made a big statement with a mistake-free outing in the opener. Although his defense didn't do him any favors against an inferior opponent, Sorsby flirted with 400 receiving yards and scored two four total touchdowns. It's an encouraging sign for the Bearcats, who endured a disappointing 2023 campaign.
