Quinn Ewers - Out with abdomen injury Ewers has been ruled out of Saturday's game against UTSA due to a strained abdomen and was spotted in street clothes on the sidelines, Josh Newman of The Texas Lone Star reports.
Impact Ewers left the game in the first half with what was expected to be a shoulder injury, but it turned out to be a strained abdomen, which is an even more painful ailment. The signal-caller won't return Saturday, but Archie Manning has done an excellent job in relief, including two touchdowns in his first three snaps. Ewers will aim to recover in time to face Louisiana-Monroe on Sep. 21.
