Impact Awatt has not scored a touchdown in four games now, and Deion Hankins is getting as many touches and doing more with them. While Awatt will likely remain on relatively equal footing to Hankins, his upside feels limited.

Impact Awatt had been the lead back all season, but in this game Deion Hankins had more touches and more yards. The problem for Awatt is that in three of his five outings he's been held under four yards per carry.

Impact With Deion Hankins (shoulder) and Quadraiz Wadley (undisclosed) both out, Awatt was the lead back. The Miners allowed 31 points in the second quarter alone, and at that point there was no need to really worry about the running game, or to risk Awatt's health.

Impact With Deion Hankins (undisclosed) out, Awatt stepped up and was the lead back for the Miners in this game. Through two contests Awatt had 30 carries for 200 yards and two scores. Once Hankins is healthy, Awatt should still be getting touches based on this.

Impact This is a nice start to the season, but Awatt only had 42 carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns in 2020. Granted, this was after switching over from being a defensive back during a strange offseason. Nevertheless, Awatt is maybe third on the depth chart, second at best, and not every matchup is this easy.
