Heading to Boca Raton Mikeska announced his committment to play for Florida Atlantic for the 2025 season via his X account.

Impact Mikeska will join the Owls following two seasons with South Carolina. The redshirt freshman tight end did not appear in any games for the Gamecocks in 2024. He will retain three years of eligibility with Florida Atlantic.

Available at Kentucky Mikeska (undisclosed) is available for South Carolina's game Saturday at Kentucky.

Impact Mikeska was not part of Carolina's injury report, which indicates he is available Saturday. After redshirting 2023, the tight end will try to begin his collegiate career during 2024.

Impact Mikeska is not expected to play a prominent role in the passing attack even when healthy, so he's not likely to be a factor in fantasy either way. His next chance to play will come against Kentucky on Sep. 7.

Impact Mikeska didn't see the field as a freshman last year with the Gamecocks, though he was seen working with the second-team offense earlier this offseason. Mikeska is already behind Brady Hunt, Joshua Simon and Nick Elksnis on the South Carolina depth chart. If he continues to miss time, Mikeska could also lose work to freshman Michael Smith.

Impact Mikeska didn't play at all during his freshman season with South Carolina. However, he appears to be ready to roll for 2024 as he's returned to the practice field for the Gamecocks' spring practice period. He'll compete with the likes of Brady Hunt, Joshua Simon and Nick Elksnis for reps at tight end.
