GAME LOG

103 total yards Saturday Brown tallied 21 rushes for 80 yards and gathered in all three targets for 23 yards during Saturday's 27-24 victory over Baylor.
Impact Brown dominated carries Saturday, recording 21 with the next closest back having just seven. Although he has been the most productive back thus far the team has continued to split up the carries fairly evenly, but that was not at all the case versus Baylor. It should be noted that Kyson Brown returned from injury and only had two carries, indicating he may not have been fully healthy.

Leads backfield Saturday Brown totaled 12 rushes for 144 yards and one touchdown and gathered in 1 of 3 targets for 11 yards during Saturday's 34-15 win over Texas State.
Impact With Kyson Brown (ankle) out once again, Raleek Brown led the Sun Devils backfield Saturday and was highly productive. He led all running backs with 12 carries and gained 144 yards, the majority of which came on a 75-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter. With Kyson Brown probable for Saturday's clash with Baylor, it will be interesting to see how the two Browns and Kanye Udoh will split carries.

Over 100 yards in loss Brown logged 18 carries for 110 yards and reeled in 3 of 4 targets for 10 yards during Saturday's 24-20 defeat against Mississippi State.
Impact After Kyson Brown (ankle) went down early into Saturday's contest, Raleek Brown and Kanye Udoh led the Sun Devils' offense for the rest of the game. Udoh out-carried Brown (23 to 18), but Brown gained five more yards and caught three passes out of the backfield. With Kyson Brown already considered doubtful for Week 3, Raleek is a very good option against Texas State on Saturday even though he will likely be splitting time with Udoh.

Scores in season opener Brown totaled five carries for 38 yards and one touchdown and reeled in 3 of 5 targets for 13 yards during Saturday's 38-19 win versus Northern Arizona.
Impact Brown opened up the season with a touchdown, a six-yard rush that marked the first Sun Devils' touchdown of the season. He finished third on the team in yards and carries, behind quarterback Sam Leavitt and Kyson Brown. Based on the first game it appears Brown will serve just behind Kyson Brown, but that could change in the weeks ahead.

Co-starting at tailback Brown is listed as a co-starter at running back alongside Kyson Brown, per Damon Allred of ArizonaSports.com.
Impact Both Raleek and Kyson Brown figure to see plenty of action in the Sun Devils' backfield in 2025. Raleek only appeared in two games last season, rushing for 42 yards, while Kyson ran for 351 yards in Tempe last fall. Neither back has experience being a workhorse, and so both should see carries and play off each other. The Sun Devils may ride the hot hand, or they might have a 1A, 1B situation. Either way, expect work for both tailbacks and also expect Week 1 to clear up some of the workload in this backfield.

Splitting first-team reps Brown is splitting first-team reps with Kyson Brown and Kanye Udoh, per On3.com.
Impact Brown only played in two games last fall for the Sun Devils, but he's still expected to be a meaningful part of this backfield. However, the same is true for Raleek Brown and Kayne Udoh, both of whom figure to see carries as well. One lead back is likely to emerge from this pack even in a committee situation. Thus, the Sun Devils' backfield should be monitored closely.

Impressing in fall practice Brown was named as a standout from Saturday's team scrimmage, per Kevin Hicks of SI.com.
Impact Brown reportedly was a significant standout in practice, even going so far as to be called the best running back on the field. The 5-foot-9 back had a number of productive plays throughout the day with the biggest highlight coming on a 65-yard touchdown run. Brown has been pushing for more playing time throughout the offseason and certainly appears to be on his way to earning a role within the Arizona State offense once the season starts.

Former USC RB Raleek Brown earns new chance with 2024 playoff team Two seasons after leaving USC, Raleek Brown is looking to carve out a role with a rising Arizona State program this fall
AUGUST 10, 2025 • USATODAY.COM
On radar for playing time Brown is a player to keep an eye on a possible rushing role in the 2025 season, Michelle Gardner of The Arizona Republic reports.
Impact Although it appears former backup Kyson Brown is the frontrunner for Arizona State's RB1 and transfer Kanye Udoh is not too far behind, Brown is also a player on the radar to get some playing time this season. The former USC player likely won't be the starter for the Sun Devils this year, but his speed is keeping him in the running for some meaningful playing time in his fourth collegiate season.

Logs reps in spring Brown (hamstring) logged first-team reps in Arizona State's spring fan event, Luke Lendler of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Brown looks to be back to be back to near full health after taking a medical redshirt last season as he dealt with a hamstring injury. The 5-foot-8 ball carrier was getting first-team snaps with the Sun Devils in the spring, so he could be primed for some meaningful playing time if he can stay healthy come fall.
MAY 15, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Seeking medical redshirt Brown (hamstring) will miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season and seek an NCAA medical redshirt eligibility waiver, Rivals.com reports.
Impact Brown, who has been limited to just two appearances this season with a hamstring injury, will look to preserve his collegiate eligibility and take a medical redshirt this season. The 5-foot-9 redshirt sophomore logged 12 total touches for 48 total yards across two games this season. Brown will look to take on a larger role within the backfield next season with Cam Skattebo and DeCarlos Brooks both out of eligibility after this season.
OCTOBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Expected to return Saturday Brown (undisclosed) is expected to make his return to the field during Saturday's game against Kansas, per Jake Seymour of 247Sports.com.
Impact Brown was held out of Arizona State's previous game against Texas Tech with an undisclosed injury, but it appears that last week's bye allowed him to recover in time for Saturday's contest. The redshirt sophomore running back has played in just a single game in 2024 after missing the Sun Devils' first two contests with a hamstring injury, and although he returned to action against Texas State, running for a single yard on two attempts and catching one pass for two yards through the air, the injury clearly still bothered him. His return to action this week is definitely a step in the right direction, though his status moving forward will likely continue to be worth monitoring.
OCTOBER 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Out against Texas Tech Brown (undisclosed) will miss Arizona State's tilt with Texas Tech, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Brown missed the Sun Devils' first two games of the season. He returned against Texas State, but logged just two carries for one yard. Now, he's slated to be out again as he continues to deal with an injury. His next chance to play will come in Week 6 against Kansas.
SEPTEMBER 19, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Deemed questionable for Week 4 Brown (undisclosed) is questionable for Arizona State's tilt with Texas Tech, Rivals.com reports.
Impact Brown played in his first game of the season during the Sun Devils' nail-biting win against Texas State. The tailback recorded just two carries for one yard, and wasn't a big factor on the ground at all. Now, he's considered questionable for Arizona State's Week 4 clash with the Red Raiders. If he does play, his contributions will likely be limited once again.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Expected to play Thursday Brown (hamstring) is expected to suit up for Thursday's game at Texas State, Matt Zenitz of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Brown missed the first two games of the season due to a hamstring injury and is in line to make his Sun Devils' debut Thursday. He transferred to the program in the offseason after two seasons with USC where he scored seven touchdowns in 16 games. It's unclear where he will place on the team's depth chart now that he's healthy, but he clearly has the talent to make an impact for his new school.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Returns to practice Brown (hamstring) returned to practice for Arizona State and partook in 11-on-11 drills for the first time in weeks, 247Sports.com reports.
Impact This is a big step in the right direction for Brown, as he hasn't practiced at full capacity in team drills since August. The USC transfer was slated to have a rotational role in the Sun Devils' offense, but that's obviously been stymied by his inability to play. Brown is clearly trending in the right direction, however, ahead of Arizona State's tilt with Texas State on Thursday.
SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not on Week 2 depth chart Brown (hamstring) is not on the depth chart for the Week 2 contest against Mississippi State on Saturday, according to Rivals.com.
Impact Arizona State didn't make changes to their depth chart for this upcoming contest against Mississippi State, meaning Brown still has to get clearance to be part of the gameday roster. He already returned to practice, though, and the earliest he'll be eligible will be the Sep. 12 matchup at Texas State.
