Considered co-RB1 in practice Brown and Hollywood Smothers were co-RB1s during Tuesday's practice, Eric Henry of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Texas' fall camp has commenced, with Brown healthy and participating as late as Tuesday night, with all players in full pads. Brown and Smothers shared co-RB1 roles, and it will be worth noting what role the former will have going into his first season with UT. Brown has a valid case to be the Longhorns' primary option at running back, as Texas recruited him after a stellar 186-carry, 1,141-yard rushing output with Arizona State just last year. Smothers does not have that high an output, but he is more consistent, with Brown's 2022-2024 stats ranging nowhere near his most recent campaign.
