Impact The former MAC Offensive Player of the year made his presence known early as a member of the Knights. The Toledo transfer cemented his role as the direct backup to RJ Harvey after an impressive debut. He averaged 11.6 yards per carry and scored his first touchdown with UCF during the victory.

Johnny Richardson - Grabs TD pass in blowout Richardson accrued seven rushes for 40 yards and hauled in 1 of 2 targets for 22 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 57-3 victory over New Hampshire.

Impact Richardson had his best season at UCF with 573 yards and a touchdown in 2023, which is impressive considering his position on the depth chart. The blowout win gave the senior additional opportunity, and he capitalized with the eighth touchdown in his college career. Richardson will be relevant against weaker opponents, but RJ Harvey will continue to dominate touches in the backfield when the game is competitive.

Myles Montgomery - Diverse line as backup Montgomery logged eight carries for 77 yards and one touchdown and hauled in their only target for 49 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 57-3 victory against New Hampshire.

Impact Montgomery will spend the season as a change-of-pace back behind RJ Harvey, but he enjoyed extended playing time with the game well in hand. His sole reception was 49-yard romp to the end zone, and he also distinguished himself with a rushing touchdown.

Impact New Hampshire's defense was helpless against Harvey, who averaged 11 yards per carry in the blowout win. Although the Knights got an upgrade at quarterback with KJ Jefferson in the offseason, the running game will be the focus of this offense, and Harvey will supply the firepower. He should experience similar success next week against Sam Houston.

Since Jefferson didn't take live snaps with his new team in spring practice or fall camp, his slow start was understandable. Although running back RJ Harvey was the star of this game, Jefferson's debut was an encouraging sign for the Knights.
