Impact Purdy missed his third straight game Saturday as he continues to deal with a shoulder injury. His next chance to suit up is next Saturday versus Eastern Washington.

Brendon Lewis - Struggles vs. Minnesota Lewis completed 15 of 23 passes for 114 yards and three interceptions during Saturday's 27-0 loss to Minnesota.
Impact It was a rough day for Lewis, who threw three interceptions after he went three games without a turnover to start the season. Lewis was also held in check in the rushing game -- he came into the day with 208 rushing yards on 44 attempts but he was held to negative yardage on 10 carries Saturday. Overall, Lewis has completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 675 yards and five touchdowns this year. It remains to be seen whether the Wolf Pack will stick with Lewis or turn to Chubba Purdy (shoulder) next week against Eastern Washington.

Savion Red - Continues to lead backfield Red logged 11 rushes for 89 yards and gathered in his only target for four yards during Saturday's 20-17 loss against Georgia Southern.
Impact Red continues to establish himself as the go-to option in Nevada's backfield over Sean Dollars, who didn't see a carry Saturday. While the Wolf Pack were forced to turn to the passing game in the loss, Red was efficient with limited work-- he's now averaging 10.2 yards per carry over his last two contests. Overall, Red's up to 254 rushing yards with a touchdown on 34 carries through his first three games with Nevada.

Chubba Purdy - DNP again, injury status unknown Purdy (shoulder) did not play during Nevada's 20-17 loss Saturday against Georgia Southern.
Impact Considering that Purdy was not part of Nevada's depth chart for Saturday, perhaps him being out then should have been expected. Or, Brendon Lewis played well enough again to prevent his fellow quarterback from logging snaps. Currently, Purdy's injury status is unknown, because the Wolf Pack have not publicized an update concerning him.

Cortez Braham Jr. - Leading receiver in Week 2 Braham Jr. caught 9 of 10 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 20-17 loss against Georgia Southern.
Impact Braham Jr. led the Wolf Pack in yards, targets and receptions Saturday, including a 15-yard touchdown that opened the scoring in the first quarter. The 6-foot-2 wideout is expected to be one of Nevada's top weapons this season after transferring from West Virginia. Through three games this year, Braham Jr. has 17 receptions for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Impact While Lewis failed to come away with the win Saturday, it was another strong effort from the fourth-year quarterback, who continues to display big-play ability both through the air and on the ground. Through three games, Lewis has completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 561 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions while rushing for 208 yards on 44 attempts. Even with Chubba Purdy (shoulder) nearing a return, Lewis has likely done enough to hang onto the starting job.

Impact Bellon only saw a pair of targets in Nevada's opener against SMU, though he was able to find more success Saturday, hauling in three passes including a seven-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. The 5-foot-9 receiver joined the Wolf Pack this offseason after posting 180 yards and a touchdown on 15 receptions across two years at UTEP. With Nevada's receiving room largely unproven, Bellon has a chance to carve out a significant role as the season progresses.

Impact After he was targeted nine times in Nevada's Week 0 loss to SMU, Smith lead the Wolf Pack in targets, receptions and yards in Saturday's victory. The 6-foot-6 Smith seems to have emerged as one of Brendon Lewis' go-to options in his first season at the FBS level -- he racked up 1,078 yards and 12 touchdowns in two seasons at Tarleton State before joining Nevada this year.

Impact Purdy won't make it on the field for Nevada's season opener against Troy but should see a return as soon as game two. Although "available" does not mean the quarterback will for sure play against the Eagles, his current recovery schedule puts him back to be fully healthy by the Wolf Pack's third game of the season versus the Golden Gophers.

Impact Red saw a near-even split with Sean Dollars on Saturday, though he appeared to be the preferred goal-line option, punching in a one-yard score. Red joined the Wolf Pack in the offseason after rushing for 131 yards and a score on 30 carries last year with Texas. Impact Considering that Garwo is an experienced player who was enrolled at an ACC college for four years, him not being part of Nevada's depth chart before the SMU game resulted in his questionable status. The senior back participating in this Saturday's matchup indicates he is healthy, though his chart ranking will require more info. Ideally, the Wolf Pack publicly update their depth chart to indicate how they rank Garwo among a group of RBs that also include Sean Dollars and Savion Red.
