Impact Daniels was held in check, as was most of Miami's offense as the Hurricanes won a defensive battle in College Station to advance in the playoff. Miami passed for just 103 yards, so it's no wonder Daniels was unable to get anything going. This was easily the lowest passing output the 'Canes have produced this season, so they figure to get back on track in the Orange Bowl against Texas Tech.

Impact Fletcher's 172 yards were a career high, and the tailback's 56-yard run on the Hurricanes' go-ahead touchdown drive was a massive part in helping Miami seal the deal in College Station. Fletcher was a force to be reckoned with all afternoon, and Miami figures to continue to lean on its star ball-carrier in the next round against Texas Tech.
