Links up with Ohio State
Klare has committed to Ohio State for the 2025 season, according to Pete Thamel of ESPN.com.
Impact
Klare had a massive season for the Boilermakers despite a brutal year for the program, and the sophomore tight end set new career-high marks in catches (51), yards (685) and touchdowns (four) in 2024. He should add another weapon to an already loaded Buckeyes' aerial attack.

Enters name in portal
Klare will enter the transfer portal, Nathan reports.
Impact
Klare had a massive season for the Boilermakers despite a brutal year for Purdue overall. He reeled in 51 catches for 685 yards and four touchdowns this fall, setting career highs in every category. With two years of eligibility remaining, Klare should be heavily sought after in the portal for teams looking to add a receiving threat to their tight end room.

Ends season on a low note
Klare recorded five receptions (on 10 targets) for 36 yards during Saturday's 66-0 defeat against Indiana.
Impact
Klare logged double-digit targets for the second week in a row to end the season, but he was held over 20 yards below his season average for receiving yards. The breakout sophomore finished with team-highs in catches (51), receiving yards (685) and targets (80). With Purdue firing head coach Ryan Walters after a dreadful 1-11 second season, it would not be surprising if Klare attracts a lot of poential suitors if he chooses to enter the transfer portal this offseason. He should have two remaining seasons of eligibility.

ROTOWIRE
Scores again Week 13
Klare gathered in seven of 10 targets for 83 yards and one touchdown during Friday's 24-17 loss against Michigan State.
Impact
Klare logged a career-high 10 targets, and he recorded seven catches and a touchdown for the second week in a row. The 6-foot-4 sophomore walked into the end zone for a seven-yard touchdown catch in the fourth quarter, which brought the Boilermakers within one score. Purdue was unable to pull off the upset in part because of quarterback Hudson Card's interception on a pass that bounced off Klare over the middle of the field. Klare has been the Boilermakers' clear-cut No. 1 receiver this season, and the team has relied on him even more over the last four weeks, tallying 22 catches (on 31 targets) for 265 yards over this span. He'll definitely be an important factor if Purdue hopes to knock off in-state rival Indiana in the regular-season finale.

Wracks up numbers in blowout loss
Klare reeled in all seven targets for 91 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-10 loss versus Penn State.
Impact
Klare was the lone bright spot in Purdue's offense as he tallied his second-most yards of any game this season. The sophomore also logged the team's only touchdown when he caught a 20-yard touchdown from backup Ryan Browne in the fourth quarter. Klare's been very productive despite operating in the Boilermakers' ineffective offense this season, tallying 39 catches (on 59 targets) for 566 yards and three touchdowns across 10 games. He'll look to make an impact in what could be a much more competitive game at Michigan State this Friday.

Logs 78 yards in loss
Klare hauled in six of eight targets for 78 yards during Saturday's 26-20 overtime loss against Northwestern.
Impact
Klare matched his season-high for targets and reception, matching his output from the Week 7 loss to Illinois. The sophomore tight end has been by fari the most consistent pass-catcher for the Boilermakers this season, and he's now averaged 4.0 catches (on 5.8 targets) for 61.8 yards across five Big Ten games. However, he's yet to score a touchdown since the start of conference play. It likely won't be easy for him to find the end zone during next week's game at No. 3-ranked Ohio State.

ROTOWIRE
Logs 32 yards in loss
Klare totaled three receptions (on four targets) for 32 yards during Friday's 35-0 loss versus Oregon.
Impact
Klare led the Boilermakers' receiving corps in receptions and yards. This speaks to the team's lackluster passing game with Ryan Browne making his second career start in place of Hudson Card (concussion). The backup signal-caller completed just nine of 19 passes for 93 yards while facing one of the Big Ten's best teams. Klare is the team's most consistent pass-catcher, though there's been nothing consistent about this passing game. This could improve if Card is back under center for next week's home game versus Northwestern.

Tallies season-best outing Week 7
Klare compiled six receptions (on eight targets) for 133 yards during Saturday's 50-49 overtime defeat against Illinois.
Impact
Klare logged season-highs across the board while also eclipsing over 100 receiving yards for the first time in his career. The sophomore tight end had a big role in Purdue's second-half explosion on offense, including a 62-yard reception on a double-reverse flea flicker in the third quarter followed by a reception on a two-point conversion pass. Redshirt freshman quarterback Ryan Browne logged 297 passing yards while starting in place of Hudson Card (concussion) on Saturday. Purdue's passing game will be at a disadvantage no matter who's under during next week's matchup versus Oregon, which was ranked No. 1 in the new AP Poll following Saturday's action.

Catches TD in loss
Klare tallied two receptions (on five targets) for 46 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 38-21 loss to Oregon State.
Impact
Klare once again served as the safety blanket for quarterback Hudson Card, who went 7-for-17 passing for 56 yards and one touchdown to one interception. The sophomore tight end was the Boilermakers' only player to log more than three targets. Klare has easily been the team's most productive pass-catcher through three games, logging 10 catches (on 17 targets) for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He'll likely need to buoy help buoy this passing game against yet another tough defense in Nebraska this coming Saturday.

ROTOWIRE
Three catches versus Fighting Irish
Klare caught three of seven targets for 36 yards during Saturday's 66-7 loss versus Notre Dame.
Impact
Klare was Purdue's only pass-catcher to log more than two catches or three targets against the Fightin Irish. Meanwhile, second-year starting quarterback Hudson Card had one of the worst outings of his career, going 11-for-24 passing for one touchdown and two interceptions. Through two games, Klare has logged eight catches (on 12 targets) for 107 yards and a score. The sophomore tight end looks like he should be one of Card's top targets moving forward, though he likely won't pose as much of a vertical passing threat as wideouts Jahmal Edrine, De'Nylon Morrissette and others.

ROTOWIRE
Leading receiver in blowout win
Klare gathered in all five targets for 71 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-0 win versus Indiana State.
Impact
The Boilermakers' had their way against their overmatched in-state opponent. Klare got things started with a nine-yard touchdown on his team's opening offensive drive. The redshirt sophomore also tallied a team-long 43-yard reception to end the first quarter, and he went on to collect just one more catch for the remainder of the contest. He still led Purdue in catches while tying with wideout Jahmal Edrine for a team-high in targets Saturday. Klare is the Boilermakers' top returning receiver from last season when he caught 22 of 27 targets for 196 yards across five games. He should be one of the team's top pass-catchers moving forward this year.
