Impact The report puts Johnson atop Georgia Southern's depth chart heading into the season and notes that he will log his first snap for GSU in Week 1. Impact Johnson drew the start for the injured Gio Lopez, and had a day that was absolutely nothing to write home about as the Tar Heels got dismantled by Clemson. Johnson didn't turn the ball over, but he also didn't find the end zone and averaged just 5.1 yards per attempt. Still, this was arguably a better outing than any Lopez has put together in 2025 -- North Carolina might have a quarterback controversy on its hands.
