Totals 32 yards in loss Williams recorded 32 rushing yards on seven carries during Saturday's 9-6 loss to Illinois. He also did not record a catch on his lone target.

Impact Williams tallied season lows in rushing yards and carries against the Fighting Illini defense, which held the Hawkeyes to just 52 rushing yards as a team. The sophomore's final stat line would have been even worse were it not for a team-long 21-yard rush in the third quarter. Williams has now seen his rushing attempts fall over each week this season, as freshman Kaleb Johnson has grown into a larger role over the last three games.

Leading rusher in return Williams (undisclosed) totaled 64 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries to go along with two receptions (three targets) for 19 yards during Saturday's 27-10 win over Rutgers.

Impact Williams finished as the Hawkeyes' leading rusher and attracted the team's second-highest receiving targets after returning from an undisclosed injury. The sophomore worked his way back into Iowa's running back rotation alongside Kaleb Johnson (15 carries, 58 rushing yards) and Gavin Williams (seven carries, 17 rushing yards; two receptions, two targets, 10 receiving yards) on the team's third offensive series, notching his team's lone offensive touchdown with a two-yard rushing score in the third quarter. Williams also averaged a season-high 5.8 yards per carry in the Hawkeyes' most successful efficient performance of the 2022 campaign.

Not active in warmups Williams is not participating in pregame warmups ahead of Saturday's game against Nevada, Steve Batterson of the Quad-City Times reports.

Impact Williams' absence from warmups presents some concerns for the Hawkeyes' ground game, as he has led the team with 38 carries for 106 yards and a touchdown through their first two games. It's possible Gavin Williams (undisclosed) and Monte Pottebaum will be asked to handle the workload out of the backfield, which doesn't bode will for Iowa considering the two have a combined four carries between them this year.
