GAME LOG

Going through warmups Ross-Simmons (hamstring) is going through warmups and should be available for Friday's game against Stanford, Emily Leiker of Syracuse.com reports.
Impact Ross-Simmons will add depth to Syracuse's receiving corps. He's yet to play this season but should be a fixture in the passing game, although it's uncertain just how many snaps he'll play since he's not listed as a starter.

Expected to be available Ross-Simmons (hamstring) has been practicing and is expected to be available against Stanford on Friday night, Chris Carlson of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
Impact Ross-Simmons has yet to play this season, but this is certainly a positive update regarding the receiver's status. Now, even though the wideout is expected to be available, that designation on its own doesn't necessarily mean he'll play. Keep an eye on Ross-Simmons' status as the week continues, but he appears to be trending in the right direction.
SEPTEMBER 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Still out in Week 2 Ross-Simmons (hamstring) will remain out for Week 2, Emily Leiker of Syracuse.com reports.
Impact Ross-Simmons has yet to play this season, but is coming off a massive year for Colorado State. Thus, he figures to be a big part of this passing attack when he sees the field, but that'll have to wait another week. The wideout's absence could mean more snaps for Trebor Pena and Jackson Meeks.
SEPTEMBER 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not on depth chart for Week 2 Ross-Simmons (hamstring) is not on the depth chart for the Week 2 contest against Georgia Tech on Saturday, Aiden Stepansky of Daily Orange Sports reports.
Impact Ross-Simmons was limited late in summer practices by a hamstring injury and missed the season opener against Ohio, and the fact that he's not on the initial depth chart for Week 2 suggests he's not ready to return to the field yet. When healthy, though, he should play a prominent role in Syracuse's passing attack. Zeed Haynes, Umari Hatcher and Trebor Pena are listed as the starting wideouts for Saturday. Ross-Simmons will aim to recover for the Sep. 20 game against Stanford following the bye week.
SEPTEMBER 4, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Ruled out Saturday Ross-Simmons (hamstring) won't play in Saturday's opener against Ohio, Christian De Guzman reports.
Impact Ross-Simmons was limited late in summer practices by a hamstring injury that'll ultimately sideline him for Week 1. When healthy, Ross-Simmons is expected to play a major role in Syracuse's receiving corps after joining the team as a transfer from Colorado State. The Rochester native totaled 724 yards with three touchdowns on 45 receptions with the Rams last season.
AUGUST 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Uncertain for opener Ross-Simmons (hamstring) is not on Syracuse's depth chart ahead of the season opener against Ohio, and his status remains unclear, Emily Leiker of syracuse.com reports.
Impact Ross-Simmons' status remains unclear as he's been withheld from Syracuse's depth chart ahead of the team's season opener. The 6-foot-3 wide receiver transferred in from Colorado State back in April, so a healthy Week 1 appearance would be optimal as he debuts with a new team.
AUGUST 26, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Working back from hamstring injury Ross-Simmons is working his way back from a hamstring injury, Brent Axe of The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.
Impact The injury was confirmed by Syracuse's head coach Fran Brown during his latest presser. Currently, Ross-Simmons' hamstring status is unknown other than it is not 100 percent. Ideally for him, he can recover before the Orange begin their 2024 season Saturday against Ohio.
AUGUST 26, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Leading receiver vs. Air Force Ross-Simmons caught 8 of 13 targets for 128 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 30-13 defeat to Air Force.
Impact Ross-Simmons emerged as Colorado State's top receiver after Tory Horton (undisclosed) left the game with an injury. Ross-Simmonds logged season-highs in targets and receptions, including a 61-yard touchdown grab in the second quarter that tied the game 7-7. The sophomore wideout has touchdowns in consecutive games, tallying 204 yards on 12 grabs in that span. Expect another big game from Ross-Simmons next week vs. Wyoming if Horton is unable to suit up.
OCTOBER 30, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Finds end zone Saturday Ross-Simmons recorded four receptions (on five targets) for 76 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 25-23 loss to UNLV.
Impact After failing to see a target last week, Ross-Simmons wound up as Colorado State's second-leading receiver behind Dallin Holker on Saturday while hauling in Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi's lone touchdown pass in the fourth quarter. It's the second score of the year for the 6-foot-3 Ross-Simmons, to go along with 377 yards on 24 receptions. He should continue to compete with Louis Brown and Dylan Goffney for targets behind Tory Horton in a potent CSU passing offense.
OCTOBER 24, 2023 • ROTOWIRE
Sees low snap count Ross-Simmons did not record a single catch during Saturday's 31-30 victory over Boise State.
Impact Ross-Simmons logged 11 snaps in this matchup, his lowest mark of the season, playing for at least 60 snaps across the last four games. The reason for the minimal playing time is not yet known. The sophomore wide receiver has received at least five targets across all games this year and will hopefully bounce back during Saturday's game at UNLV.
