Handles most reps with starters
Johnson saw the most reps with the first-string offense among all Aggie quarterbacks this past Spring, Jason Groves of the Las Cruces Sun-News reports.
Impact
The 6-foot-3 junior appears to have had a productive Spring, although sources say the New Mexico State coaches also like sophomore Weston Eget. Johnson appeared in two games for the Aggies last season, completing 60 percent of his passes and throwing one touchdown against three interceptions. It remains unclear as to whether Johnson or Eget will open the season as the Aggies' starter at quarterback.
